The popular South Indian actor, Naga Shaurya is currently promoting his upcoming film, Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi, in full throttle. Srinivas Avasarala directs the film, and the cast includes Malavika Nair, Manoj Anand, Jamie-Lee-Beacher and many more. Amid the promotion of his next film, Naga Shaurya is hitting the headlines for all the right reasons. The actor is getting hailed on the internet at the moment for teaching a much-needed lesson to an abuser who slapped his girlfriend in public.
On March 1, 2023, Naga Shaurya was travelling somewhere when he stopped his car and came out to teach a much-needed lesson to an abuser. Several videos and pictures of the incident have been bombarded on the internet. The actor can be seen donning a red-hued shirt and black pants.

In the video, Naga Shaurya can be seen holding the hand of the abuser, who was going away without apologising to his girlfriend in public for slapping her. Some onlookers also joined the actor and supported him in teaching a lesson to the abuser. When the abuser told Naga that she was his girlfriend, the actor gave a cracking reply to him. He said:
"Why did you slap her on the road? She could be your lover, it doesn’t mean you can misbehave like this. Say sorry to her."

As soon as the video of the incident made its way online, netizens started hailing the actor for intervening in the couple’s matter. Most people appreciated the actor’s brave decision to teach the abuser a lesson in front of the public, as we rarely see people doing that. A user commented about the same and wrote, "FINALLY someone is actually addressing the situation rather than just say 'not my family, not my business' need more people like him." Some called him a ‘real hero’, and many urged other celebrities to follow in the footsteps of Naga Shaurya.
