South Indian actress, Harshika Poonacha is on cloud nine as she tied the knot with the love of her life, Bhuvaan Ponannaa. For the unversed, Bhuvan is the son of ‘Brahmagiri’ Kodava weekly newspaper’s Ulliyada Poovaiah and Daty Poovaiah. On the other hand, Harshika is the daughter of the late Uddappanda Poonacha and Shambhavi. Both Harshika and Bhuvan hail from Kodagu, and also own a company named Glamgod Fashion and Events. The company mainly conduct fashion shows and fashion weeks.
On August 25, 2023, Ulliyada Bhuvan Ponnanna and Uddappanda Harshika Poonacha tied the knot in a traditional Kodava-style wedding at the Ammathi Kodava Samaja in Coorg. For the wedding, the duo looked picture-perfect in traditional Kodava attire. We can also spot glimpses from their ceremonial proceedings such as the symbolic cutting of banana stalks, emblematic of courage, Gange Pooje, Bendoota and others.

As per multiple reports, the wedding was attended by Chief Ministers B.S. Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai, former Ministers Murugesh Nirani and Dr. K. Sudhakar, Virajpet MLA A.S. Ponnanna and Madikeri MLA Dr. Manthar Gowda. Moreover, many A-listers from the entertainment industry, including Anu Prabhakar and her husband, Raghu Mukherjee, Ganesh, Doddanna, Jaijagadish, Vijayalakshmi Singh, Upendra, Priyanka, Sudharani and others.
Coming to her professional background, Harshika Poonacha rose to fame with her stint in her first Kannada-language film, PUC, in 2008, when she was only 15. Afterwards, she hosted TV shows like Nimmindha Nimagaagi, Hrudayadinda and Sarigamapa before beginning an acting career. Later, she worked in many films, including Ponnamma, Kazar, Edukondalavada Venkataramana Andaru Bagundali, Jackie, Thamassu, Nariya Seere Kadha and many more. Next, she will be seen in her first Tamil film, Anandha Thollai, and also has a Telugu film, Panipuri, in her pipeline.

On the other hand, Bhuvann Ponnannaa is best known for his appearance as a contestant in the reality television show, Bigg Boss Kannada season 4. Following this, he appeared in films such as Kool...Sakkath Hot Maga (2012), Kuchikoo Kuchikoo (2018), Randhawa (2019). Moreover, he also appeared in a TV show, Sanju Mattu Naanu, in 2017.
