South Korean actress, Im Soo Hyang received a lot of love from the audience for her role as 'Kang Mi Rae' in My ID is Gangnam Beauty. The drama also featured the popular Hallyu heartthrob, Cha Eun Woo, and their on-screen chemistry was charming and well-appreciated by viewers worldwide. The show successfully highlighted the issue of cosmetic surgery in South Korea and its dire consequences.
The Gangnam Beauty star has been a part of several blockbuster K-dramas such as Graceful Family, Woori The Virgin, Doctor Lawyer, and Kokdu: Season of Deity, among others. On October 18, 2023, Im Soo Hyang appeared on KBS 2TV's Problem Child In House show, along with guest stars, Han Hye Jin and Park Ha Seon. On the show, the 33-year-old actress revealed some unheard behind-the-scenes tea from her drama, My ID Is Gangnam Beauty.

Im Soo Hyang shared some interesting experiences of the time when she was shooting for My ID Is Gangnam Beauty. She shared her experience filming a kiss scene with Cha Eun Woo in the K-drama. The actress impressed everyone with her quick wit and unexpected entertainment skills. The other two actresses were surprised to learn that it took her 6 hours to complete the kissing scene with Cha Eun Woo. Im Soo Hyang shared:
“We filmed that scene in two days, and we spent more than six hours on the kiss. It was a very important scene, and the director tended to direct long scenes.”
Soo Hyang further divulged why they had to film the kissing scene for long hours. She mentioned that the director wanted the scene to be perfect, hence, they filmed the scene from different angles. She further added:
“We filmed it 360 degrees. We tried several angles and did many rehearsals on the set. I even had blisters on my lips. If you watch the scene closely, you can see my swollen lips. Every time Eun Woo and I monitored ourselves, we could see our lips getting more and more swollen."

Im Soo Hyang even revealed that she cared more about her appearance after knowing that her co-star was ‘face genius’ Cha Eun Woo. For the unversed, several reports have repeatedly mentioned that the 26-year-old actor-singer has the most perfect facial features. Emphasising that their age difference is seven years, the actress said:
“He’s so handsome, and we have a large age gap, but we played characters of the same age and in their 20s.That’s why I had to take care of my appearance by receiving skin-lifting or laser treatments.”
As the show progressed, Han Hye Jin and Park Ha Seon, who were also the guests in the show, shared about their husbands, Ki Sung Young and Ryu Soo Young, respectively, and how they supported them. They both mentioned that their husbands packed lunch boxes and prepared buffets for them. Im Soo Hyang, who is not married, appeared envious. Later, the host, Jung Hyung Don of Problem Child in House, asked Im Soo Hyang for her opinion on marriage. Im Soo Hyang said:
“That sounds great. I really want to get married.”
