Stand-up comedian and actor, Munawar Faruqui is currently on cloud-nine ever since he and his wife, Mehzabeen Faruqui welcomed a baby girl. For those who do not know, the couple tied the knot in May 2024 in an intimate ceremony. A few days ago, the duo announced the arrival of a little princess, which generated a lot of buzz on social media. Well now, a while ago, Munawar’s wife, Mehzabeen took to her IG handle to announce the name of their daughter.

A while ago, on May 12, 2026, Munawar Faruqui’s wife, Mehzabeen Faruqui took to her Instagram handle to share a series of cutesy snaps with the comedian and their little daughter. Apart from their little angle, the photos also included two more children, which reportedly were Munawar’s children- son, Mikeal and daughter, Sameera. In the caption, Mehzabeen also gave a hint at the meaning of the name. Mehzabeen captioned the post as:

"Alhamdulillah, on 1/5/2026, we were blessed with a precious daughter whom we named Barirah Munawar Faruqui, a beautiful reflection of purity, virtue, and righteousness. May Allah (SWT) bless her with strong faith and fill her life with endless barakah and mercy. Ameen."

Soon after Mehzabeen Faruqui shared a heartfelt post revealing their daughter’s name, both celebrities and fans took to the comment section to shower love on them. Actress, Sana Makbul commented, "Masha Allah." On the other hand, Maahi Vij penned, "My jaans." Apart from them, a fan wrote, "Congratulations and so happy for you @mehzabeen_faruqui. Wishing you and the baby endless love and health."

Another user commented, "Myyy girll @mehzabeen_faruqui thanks for giving us the most precious and best gift.. love you sm myyy pyaariii may allah bless you and always protect your family with evil eyes.. On May 1, 2026, Munawar Faruqui took to his IG handle to announce the birth of their daughter. The First Copy actor shared a series of photos from the hospital. His post featured both his wife and their daughter. However, he kept the face of his daughter hidden. He captioned the cutesy post as, "Ghar barkat aayi. Blessed Alhmdulillah. Dua mai khas yaad rakhe!" Later, multiple celebrities like Farah Khan, Avneet Kaur, Shirley Setia, Isha Malviya, Rubina Dilaik and more penned heartfelt congratulatory messages for the couple.
