Veteran actress, Mumtaz is the heartthrob of her millions of fans worldwide. She was known for her sensational acting performances in the 1960-70s. She debuted in the Hindi film industry with her movie, Sone Ki Chidiya. Since then, she has given one after other iconic movies during her film career like Bandhan, Aadmi Aur Insaan, Sachaa Jhutha, Khilona, Tere Mere Sapne, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, and many others. Apart from her acting, she was also known for her queen-sized life and sartorial fashion choices.
For the unversed, Mumtaz had tied the knot with the love of her life, Mayur Madhvani in 1974. The madly-in-love couple is blessed with two daughters, Natasha and Tanya. And on July 31, 2022, Mumtaz turned a year older. In an interview, she opened up about her 75th birthday bash along with her loving family members.

In an interview with ETimes, veteran actress, Mumtaz talked about her grand birthday bash in Uganda organised by her darling husband, Mayur Madhwani. For the birthday party, Mumtaz's entire family, including their daughters, Natasha and Tanya, along with their kids, are present with her. However, she mentioned that her son-in-law, Fardeen Khan, isn't there due to his work commitments. She also revealed the special gift given by her darling husband, Mayur. Sharing the same, she said:
"We are missing Fardeen. He is shooting for 'Heeramandi' (Sanjay Leela Bhansali's web show for which Mumtaz has also been offered a small part). I am in Uganda. After four days I will go to my home in Nairobi. From there, after a few days, I fly out to London. My husband Mayur has organised a big lunch. A few guests are also expected. He has given me practically everything in life. But if you are asking about today's birthday, he has gifted me the latest model of a Mercedes. Plus, jewellery. But aajkal pehan nahin sakte. The world is not a safe place."
Further, in the same conversation, Mumtaz was asked how her birthday morning had begun. To this, the gorgeousness mentioned the loveliest kisses by her grandchildren started her birthday. Talking in this context, Mumtaz mentioned that she was a strict parent, but even after the times have changed, she doesn't ask her daughters to be smooth with her grandkids. She added:
"With my grandchildren planting a kiss on me. It's such a nice feeling to have so many family members and friends around. I was a strict parent but now I tell my daughters to correct their kids. Zamaana badal gaya hai to kya hua? That does not mean that you don't teach the basics of life to the kids. Hope this misconception is corrected fast."

The legendary actress was also asked how did she feel on her 75th birthday. To this, she explained her cheerful attitude and revealed that she could easily exercise for about 90 minutes daily. Further, she shared that she now misses her birthday celebrations on the sets and concluded by saying:
"I am 18. I still dance. I still exercise for nearly 90 minutes every day. My wish is that my grandchildren work very hard in life and grow up as fine individuals. Of course I do (recall birthdays on the sets); every time a cake was called and everybody cheered. But I used to be so busy during my entire career that celebrations toh door ki baat, I couldn't get the time to see some of my films that were released."
