"When I was much younger, I would forgive very easily and till date, I do but I wasn't able to forget. Now, I think with my own personal and spiritual journey, I feel like you just have to forgive, God makes you forget."

Mouni Roy further stated that meditation, chanting, and many spiritual practices have helped her find peace over time. Mouni further revealed that not everyone in life deserves a free pass. She revealed that some evil people will go out of their way to hurt others. The person may not be evil, but may have evil qualities. They are known to cause pain and negativity. Mouni revealed that she is not someone who believes in holding on to resentments and compared the situation to holding a hot coal in the hand. In her words:

"If you don’t let it go, you will be the one who will be hurting the most. And sometimes the other person who hurt you is not even thinking about it, no matter how big a hurt they have caused you."
