The 2026 ACM Awards have made headlines, but for all the wrong reasons. Fans were eagerly awaiting their favourite country artists to be recognised for their achievements. But many of them were left in shock after Morgan Wallen did not win any award at the ceremony despite multiple major nominations. Although the singer's latest album, I'm the problem, achieved 4x Platinum status, he failed to secure any silverware at one of the country's biggest music nights. In turn, fans used their social media handles to express their frustrations.

Morgan Wallen leaves the ACM awards without a win 

The 2026 ACM Awards featured multiple major nominations for Morgan Wallen. It included Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year and Artist-songwriter of the Year. However, by the end of the awards night, the singer lost in every category. According to the results, Cody Johnson won Entertainer of the Year, Parker McCollum won Album of the Year, and Ella Langley won Artist-Songwriter of the Year. In fact, her growing fame became one of the night's biggest talking points.

At the same time, Morgan Wallen did not attend the ceremony in Las Vegas. However, he has often skipped several major award shows in recent years. Many fans argued that his absence cannot be overlooked, given his commercial success and influence on modern country music. In fact, some social media users pointed out that I'm the Problem has continued to become one of the best-performing albums on streaming platforms and sales charts. It even reached 4× Platinum certification, strengthening Morgan Wallen's position at the top of music charts.

Internet users call out ACM awards for "snubbing" Morgan Wallen 

Soon after the ACM awards night ended, social media users rushed to criticise the awards' voting committee on X and Instagram. Some fans even called the results "political". Others argued that Morgan Wallen was being intentionally overlooked despite his fame. One fan penned, "What? I've heard one song on this album. Morgan was robbed!" Another internet user wrote:

"Why bother nominating Morgan if he has no chance at winning. Seriously, how many times would Platinum have to go to win Best Album? ACM is a joke."

Morgan Wallen is still one of the biggest names in modern country music. The Tennessee-born singer first rose to national fame after competing on The Voice in 2014. Later, he signed with Big Loud Records. Morgan's breakthrough came with his debut album, If I Knew Me, which featured hits such as Whiskey Glasses and Up Down. However, his 2021 album, Dangerous: The Double Album transformed him into a global country superstar.
