Monica Bedi also served jail on the charges of document forgery in the 1990s. After so many years, Monica still suffers from the ghosts of her past. Recently, she talked about difficulty finding work and the right partner.
Recently, Monica made an appearance on Siddharth Kannan's podcast and bared her heart out on her life so far. During one of the segments, Siddharth asked Monica if she feels judged for her past. To this, the actress shared that she doesn't care anymore. Monica revealed that there was a time when people would say all kinds of things about her, and she would wonder how many times she had to provide explanations.

Further in the interview, Monica shared that her past left a huge impact on her 'future prospects'. She shared that people are hesitant to work with her because she once had a relationship with Abu Salem. She was quoted as saying:
"Yes, because of my past, there are a lot of obstacles in my life. I’m sure that people have this hesitation of working with me, because of my past. People who’ve already worked with me have no problem, they know I’m a professional, I’m kind… But people who haven’t worked with me are still unsure, and I don’t know how to address their concerns."

Talking about Monica's love life, the actress shared that younger men are approaching her. She doesn't believe in getting into time-pass relationships. Monica added that she doesn't let things escalate to a point where one of them gets their heart broken, so she puts a stop to it immediately.
On the work front, Monica re-established her career when she participated in reality shows like Bigg Boss and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.
