According to a local outlet, Cindy killed her 2-year-old son, Gustavo, who was shot in the chest. The influencer died due to a gunshot to the head, while three blocks away, authorities discovered her partner, Leodegario Moya and two older children, Christian and Bruno, were also shot to death.
The investigation has gone viral; authorities are now analyzing surveillance footage, which could be critical in understanding what led Tamez to take such a drastic step. The influencer has more than 96,000 followers on TikTok, and she would often share outfits and her life in Mexico online.
The influencer's last post was dated September 30, 2026, and was written in Spanish over a video of a vehicle's dashboard. The translated post can be read as "Not everyone knows my shit side. I am capable of burning down my house just to see the neighbor's burning, even knowing that I'll get fucked too." The matter is under investigation, but details of it have not been released.
Soon, netizens shared their thoughts. One user expressed sadness and said that no one is truly happy, and that one should not idolize money and fame. The comment can be read as "Sad to read what happened. No one is truly happy by idolising money and fame. There will always be problems."
A second user commented, "Wow, her last post makes it seem like she may have been the perpetrator. Which would be unusual for so many different reasons." A third one wrote, "I can't imagine anything worse than being murdered by someone who is supposed to love you. Poor babies and partner."
A netizen penned that murder and suicides are not uncommon among women, nor is a woman murdering her children. But the thing that is shocking is that a woman killed her entire family, and wrote, "Murder/suicides among women are not at all uncommon, nor is a woman murdering her children. What is uncommon is total family annihilation, which is the topic at hand right now. Women in this state of mind usually want to know someone is suffering. That's not a commentary; it's just how it works. 'If I can't have them, no one can,' 'Look what you made me do.' Kind of mentality."
