For the unversed, Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan had met on the daily soap drama YRKKH. The actor is best known for playing 'Kartik Goenka', while Shivangi played 'Naira', his on-screen wife. Their friendship soon turned into a relationship, and both became favourites among their sea of fans.

At that time, Mohsin was already essaying the role of 'Kartik', and the two developed a bond of friendship as they began working together. The on-screen pairing of the former couple became very famous.
It was in 2016 when Shivangi Joshi called Mohsin Khan a good friend. Both of them had dismissed dating rumours back then. However, a few months later their equation changed. It was in February 2017 when the actor confirmed in an interview with the Times of India that he and Shivangi were dating. In his words
"Several theories have been doing the rounds, including our link-up, but we didn't allow it to affect our friendship or work. In fact, there was nothing to talk about initially, since we were just friends. Our friendship graduated to love only recently; it's just been a month-and-a-half. We rang in the New Year with my family. Funnily, we haven't gone out on an official date yet, owing to our erratic schedule."
Mohsin and Shivangi were good friends for a long time before they took their relationship to the next level. The actor had explained that their relationship "graduated to love" organically. They navigated their relationship together despite having hectic schedules.

It was in 2018 that Mohsin stated that their friendship was behind the crackling chemistry between 'Naira' and 'Kartik'. Mohsin used to call himself lucky to have the actress as his co-star. Their relationship had become a hot topic among TV and 'Kaira' fans alike.
Shivangi Joshi never held any hard feelings toward Mohsin Khan, even after they separated. Today, Mohsin Khan may have started a new chapter in his personal life, but Shivangi has been asked about her equation with the actor for a long time. It was in 2021 that she stated she was in touch with Mohsin and that they had always been good to one another.
Shivangi remained in touch with Mohsin even after they broke up. Due to hectic schedules, both reportedly didn't speak much to one another. When asked if she was particularly in touch with Mohsin, Shivangi had shared:
"I’m still in touch with the team. They are like my family. “Yeah, of course. I’m in touch with everyone, it’s just time kam milta hai, so we don’t talk much.”
Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi reportedly dated for four years and always said they had a good rapport. The actress had once shared that she is a sensitive, overemotional person. Moving on was not easy for her, and regarding that, she stated:
"I’m a sensitive person and over-emotional. (So) It’s difficult. It hurts when your relationship or friendship doesn’t work out.”
