What to expect in Mirzapur: The Movie?
The highly anticipated film, Mirzapur: The Movie, is set right between episode 6 and episode 7 of the series, Mirzapur Season 1. This means the audience can expect characters like 'Munna Bhaiya', played by Divyenndu and 'Bablu Pandit', who are killed later on in the series, reprising their parts on the big screen. The movie will be an untold, standalone chapter within the 2018 timeline and dive deeper into the complicated and dark relationship between the fathers and the sons of Purvanchal, a region where Mirzapur is located.
The central point of the film will be around a power struggle to gain the reins of Mirzapur. In the upcoming film, Rajasthan plays a crucial role. Actor-politician Ravi Kishan will play a key character in Mirzapur: The Movie. While Ali Fazal recommended that the audience watch Season 1 only till episode 6, Pankaj says otherwise. In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Pankaj shared that people who have not watched the series can also enjoy and understand the film. He was quoted as saying:
"You don't need to be familiar with Mirzapur at all to enjoy the film. We have shot it from the point of view of community viewing, as opposed to personal viewing on TV and mobile devices."
Before the release of Mirzapur: The Movie, let’s learn what happens in Mirzapur Season 1 episode 6. The episode is titled Barfi and shows a notable shift in the journeys of two brothers, 'Guddu' and 'Bablu'. They are entrusted with the responsibility of expanding 'Kaleen's' opium-smuggling network. With their skills, the brothers prove their worth to 'Kaleen' and are on their way to being crowned the 'lions' of Mirzapur. In this episode, 'Kaleen's' son, 'Munna', is seen as an aggressive person who just wants to gain power.
The episode also introduces Amit Sial as 'SSP Ram Sharan Maurya'. He is a threat to 'Kaleen's' empire and is not like the other police officers. Mirzapur Season 1 episode 6 also features 'Guddu Pandit' and 'Sweety's' blooming relationship. But fate has something else in store for them.
