Shahid has taken some time off and spending quality time with dear wifey, Mira and darling daughter, Misha Kapoor. From watching FIFA world cup together to enjoying the lovely Mumbai rains with their Missy, Shahid and Mira are enjoying this phase to the fullest.
Shahid, who was shooting for Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu alongside Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam, is on a break pampering his preggy wife. On July 4, 2018, Shahid took Mira out on a lunch date and were snapped by the paparazzi. The lovebirds were all smiles to the cameras and shared a hearty laugh together. While the much-in-love couple was casually dressed for their lunch date, Mira looked adorable flaunting her baby bump in a white polka dotted dress, which she paired with a tote bag and sneakers. Mira shared the above picture with Shahid from their date, with a super-adorable caption, "Happiness... beside me and inside me". Looks like Mira was in a jovial mood as she not only took over Shahid’s Instagram account but also the promotional spree for his film, Batti Gul Meter Chalu. Mira started by posting an Insta story with Shahid in the backdrop, while she is wondering what he is doing. She captioned the story writing, "Insta taken over by me! What is he doing at the back?!" Little did Shahid know what was to come next with his phone taken over by his wife. Mira shared some unseen pictures from Batti Gul Meter Chalu, but with a twist. Mira Rajput Kapoor is quite an ardent user of social media and often shares her woes and excitement of the journey of her second pregnancy on Instagram to keep her fans in the loop. From the weird phase when ‘your jeans don’t fit but your maternity jeans are too big’, her 2 am jitters to her third-trimester food cravings, she has been sharing them all and we can't help but relate to her! As per the reports, Shahid will take a month-long paternity leave after the release of his flick, Batti Gul Meter Chalu to spend some quality time with his newborn, Mira and Misha.
In a throwback interview, Shahid talked about the feeling of embracing parenthood once again and was quoted as saying, ''It's feeling really good. There's still time. This is the second time so it doesn't feel new, the first time it felt very new. But it's always very exciting and we are really looking forward to having another new member in the family. It's an amazing feeling.''
Shahid and Mira were always sorted with their family planning. In an earlier interview, Shahid stated, “Mira, who is just 22, would prefer to have a second kid soon as well. She wants to flip the norm, get the kids to a certain age and then be free to do what she likes.” When Mira was asked about her career plans, she shared that she doesn’t have any deadlines and gushed, "because I am going to have another baby, and then decide."
