A latest picture of Shahid Kapoor had the dapper star pose amidst the backdrop of the beautiful Switzerland mountains, standing in front of a BMW bike, in a biker attire. While the Kabir Singh lead had captioned the picture with a mere hashtag which read “#traveldiaries”. But it was Shahid’s wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor’s comment that blew our minds! While her first comment was all about an array of fire emojis, the next comment had her tag her sister, Noor Wadhwani and compliment her hubby’s look. Her comment could be read as “I know right. He’s even aced hat-hair.” Doesn’t this suggest that she totally can’t get over her ‘oh-so-handsome’ hubby?
Talking about Shahid Kapoor and wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor’s social media PDA, it was on May 16, 2019, when the former’s first wax statue at Madame Tussauds Singapore was unveiled. A super proud Mira had then shared a picture of herself, donned in a black gown, holding the arm of her ‘wax hubby’, while her ‘flesh hubby’ held hers! Sharing the picture, Mira had written, “Taking mine home but left one for you Madame”. It has been 4 years since Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor have been married but we still can’t get over the pictures and videos! While you must have seen many pictures from Shahid and Mira's Hindu wedding, there are a few pictures from Shahid and Mira’s Gurudwara wedding which exists. The mahurat of Shahid and Mira's Gurudwara wedding was 11 am when they had a simple Anand Karaj wedding. With only their closest of members in attendance, Shahid had opted for a white kurta-pyjama along with a safa, while his then-newbie bride, Mira had donned a simple a peach and green suit, with a shell maang-teeka and very minimal makeup. Just a few days back, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor had completed 4 years of marital bliss. To commemorate this special day in their lives, the duo had posted adorable anniversary messages for each other. While Mira had posted a picture from their wedding and had written, “You make my world and me go round #happy4”, Shahid had given us a glimpse of the very first picture of Mira that he had saved on his phone. Sharing the same, the 38-year-old had written, “Her first picture I saved on my phone. And now almost every second picture has her in it. She is #life. I love you @mira.kapoor thank you for being you.”
When we all had heard that Shahid Kapoor is getting married to a girl who is not from the industry, we all had wished if it were us. But alas! By the time we thought so, Shahid was already a taken man! In a 2015 interview with the India Today, Shahid had stated, “I noticed everyone's expressions, "Kya? Kaun? Yeh kaun hai? (What? Who? Who is this person?)" And it was not just about being a non-celebrity; Mira was not part of my social circuit either. But I don't close myself to anything new. And one year later, I got married to someone who is a normal girl (laughs). I love the fact that I go back home to a normal person, who talks about normal things; and who sometimes tells me, "I'm not interested in what's happening in your industry. Let's discuss what we are doing for lunch tomorrow or where are we going." In a 2017 event, Mira Rajput Kapoor had opened up about being a homemaker and her marriage with Shahid Kapoor. Speaking about why she opted for an arranged marriage, the star wife had stated, “Why not (go for an arranged marriage)? You have to meet someone in some way! It worked for us so beautifully because both of us laid our cards in the open in the beginning. We were ourselves. There was a different kind of discovery after marriage but there was no negative surprise.” Further talking about her marriage, Mira had stated, “I understood the role I had to take and he (Shahid) understood that he had to become a part of my life. Both of us have given and taken a lot from each other and we have become more wholesome. It’s two halves that make a whole.” The lovebirds are also parents to two adorable babies, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor.
