Dianna Russini Didn't Want Her Statement On The Scandal To Be Published, Here's Her Massive Salary

In April 2026, Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini's scandal broke, and it grabbed significant attention. It all began with Page Six releasing the duo's photos from Arizona, where they were seen chatting and hugging each other. Dianna and Mike are both married to their respective partners, and thus, when their photos were out, it sparked gossip about cheating. Mike and Dianna came forward and denied being in any kind of relationship, except professional.

As the days went by, several photos from the past, showing the duo with each other, even kissing in one photo, convinced people that there was something more than professional between the duo. Dianna was working as an insider for The Athletic, and in the wake of the scandal, she resigned from her position. Back then, an investigation was ongoing in The Athletic, and initially, Russini got support; however, things soon turned in the opposite direction.

Presently, The New York Times published an extensive report on the Russini-Vrabel drama, which not only revealed her massive six-figure salary but also an episode when Dianna went on email publishers and senior editors about her wish for her statement on the same scandal to be quoted.

According to the reports, Dianna Russini was one of the highest-paid employees, and she had a package of USD 80K annually from her company, where she worked as an insider. Her contract was till June 2026, and reportedly, she was also negotiating a contract extension before she resigned from her position. As per another report, Dianna sat for an interview with a reporter, wherein she tagged herself as a 'former journalist'. She also later asked the reporter not to quote her and not to publish the same.

The interviewer told Dianna Russini that there was no agreement between them to engage in off-the-record correspondence, thereby denying her request. This reportedly made Dianna email senior editors and the publisher to reiterate her wish that her comments not be included. However, reportedly, the comment has been published. In journalism, everthing between an interviewer and interviewee is considered to be 'on-record' unless there's an off-contract agreement. As there was no such agreement in the alleged interview that took place with Dianna, everything she said was 'on-record'.

According to the recent report that was published by the NYT, Dianna Russini engaged in unacceptable conduct to avoid a traffic ticket. For the unversed, back in February, Dianna, during an interview, revealed that she was once pulled over by an officer while texting and driving with her two sons. Dianna said that she was trying to break the news of the Buffalo Bills’ firing of head coach Sean McDermott. When she revealed that to the officer, he said that he was a fan of another team. Well, Dianna then offered to conduct a FaceTime with the same team's head coach with the officer, and in the same way, she avoided a traffic ticket, which is now being slammed as 'unacceptable conduct' by the NYT.
