Mike Tyson opened up about fidelity and monogamy
In a 2020 podcast, T.I.’s ExpediTIously, Mike Tyson opened up about fidelity and monogamy. He admitted that he never thought he could remain faithful to one woman because he used to have a very strong interest in sex. The former professional boxer said that he was not that faithful. During the podcast, Mike explained that, in the past, his sexual desires were so strong that he found it difficult to imagine being in a committed relationship. He said:
"I’m not faithful enough. I’m just not that kind of guy. I don’t care about nothing more than my d-ck, so how am I gonna be faithful to somebody? I got ten years with her. I got two years without every f—ing a b—h but my wife. I’m the poster boy for sexual anonymity."

In the same podcast, Mike said that his wife, Lakiha, helped him to control himself and gave him emotional support. The former professional boxer mentioned that without Lakiha, he was a 'savage animal'. Mike shared that when he was young, he used to see women as a source of sexual pleasure rather than as life partners. However, as he has grown older, he started seeing women as partners who can share their lives with men and complement them.
Mike stated that women have taught him important lessons about life, relationships, and himself. He then mentioned that if a man doesn’t have a little bit of fear of his wife, he’s not living his life right. Further, in the podcast, Mike revealed that he married thrice because he could not live without a wife. Expressing his feelings, the former world heavyweight champion added he would have killed himself if he didn’t have a wife.
