'Mormon Wives' Fame Mikayla Matthews Opens Up About Her Wedding With Jace Terry, 'Separated Forever'

The reality TV personality, Mikayla Matthews, who is married to Jace Terry, recently shared a glimpse into their married life. For the unversed, during the Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Mikayla discussed the struggles of her marriage. Later, she also had a conversation with People about the same. After the premiere of the fourth season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Mikayla Matthews had a conversation with People, during which she opened up about her marriage with Jace Terry. She revealed that the two are taking a break and living separately due to some issues. She was quoted as saying:

"Last season, we dove into the beginning stages of it, and that was me revisiting all this trauma for the first time as well. It's still new to me, and it's new to him, and we're just navigating it the best way that we can. Unfortunately, I think it's just something that's going take a lot more time. I feel like that's all I can say on it now."

Further, Mikayla Matthews admitted that she has been going to therapy to process her feelings; however, the issues are still bad. She also continued to explain that despite some major issues, she is not planning to part ways with her husband, Jace Terry forever and will continue to see each other everyday. Later, she even spoke about their kids. For the unversed, Mikayla and Jace share four kids. In her words:

"I feel like I've done a lot of therapy work already, and my stuff is still bad. And again, I don't think it's like with the intention of being separated forever. I think we're obviously still going to see each other every single day. I'm not trying to go even a day away from the kids anyway."

Apart from Mikayla Matthews, her husband, Jace Terry also opened up about his relationship with the reality TV personality. During the latest season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which premiered on March 12, 2025, on Netflix, Jace sat with a few friends and revealed that even though he is not okay with everything that is happening but right now he can only stay calm and stand beside his wife. He shared:

"I'm definitely not okay with it. Me throwing fits about it all the time and getting [upset] — that doesn't help anything. So I just feel like the only thing I can do is be patient and be there for her."

For those who do not know, Mikayla and Jace's relationship began long before their appearance on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. It reports are to be believed, the duo first met when they were young and eventually, they fell in love. It is worth mentioning that Mikayla was still a teenager when she welcomed her first child with Jace Terry. Later, they got married in an intimate ceremony. Over the years, they have welcomed four children, with the youngest one born in 2025.

Since the past few months, Mikayla and Jace have been facing a lot of problems in their marriage; however, the duo continue to appear together as a couple on social media. According to People, the couple attended the opening night of Leavitt’s Broadway debut in Chicago in early 2026. Later, they brought their kids to the after-party. Recently, Mikayla also shared a Valentine's Day post with her husband.
