Her demise at the age of 35 has sparked a sense of grief around, and recently, the reason for her death has also surfaced. Big Brother host, Julie Chen has talked about the passing of Mickey in an emotional post, while sharing the health issues she had been facing for a while now.

How did Mickey Lee die?

Earlier, reports suggested that Mickey Lee suffered a cardiac arrest, which claimed her life. However, it was not until after her family confirmed her passing that it was revealed that Mickey Lee had suffered multiple cardiac arrests. Reportedly, she suffered multiple cardiac arrests due to the complications caused by the flu. She had been receiving treatment at the intensive care unit for the last week, and it was on December 25, 2025, when she bid farewell to the world.

Confirming her passing, Mickey Lee's family, in a statement, said that the gorgeous lady's contribution to bringing joy to people and the connections that she formed will be remembered. Sharing that she passed away in the early evening of Christmas, her family wrote:

"Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on ‘Big Brother,’ where her authenticity, strength and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike. She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed on and offscreen."

Big Brother host, Julie Chen reveals Mickey Lee's health complications

With the passing of Mickey Lee, Big Brother host, Julie Chen took to her IG handle, and revealed that it was only two months ago that she interviewed the Big Brother alum on God 101. Julie shared that Mickey mentioned that she was born with a hole in her heart and survived an ATV accident that could have killed her, but God kept her alive. She further talked about the passing of Mickey and said that she would meet her friend again on the other side. Julie Chen, in the emotional IG post, penned:

"Two months ago I interviewed Mickey Lee on God 101. That’s when she revealed to me that she was born with a hole in her heart, and as an adult she survived an ATV accident that should have killed her, but God kept her alive. Last night God brought her home. Rest In Peace dear Mickey. I will see you again on the other side in eternity. I pray the good Lord comforts and heals your family and loved ones as we grieve your passing. Amen."

Mickey Lee's last post went viral, after her death news surfaced

No sooner than the reports about Mickey Lee's passing surfaced than netizens offered condolences to her family members. Amid this, Mickey's last IG post made rounds on social media. The post was dropped on December 17, 2025, wherein Mickey was seen reflecting positive vibes as she appeared for an interview on iHeart Radio.

Sharing the photo, Mickey wrote that it's just another day of her being 'outside'. For the unversed, Mickey Lee was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and was based in Atlanta, Georgia. If the reports are to be believed, Mickey was originally selected for Big Brother 26, but she was a part of the CBS show in the 27th season. She was on the show for 59 days and caught the attention with her charming personality, leading her to finish in the 10th position.
