For the unversed, Michael '5000' Watts was suffering from Torsades de Pointes, which is a rare form of rapid heart rhythm, known as tachycardia.

Torsades de Pointes begins in the lower chambers of the heart and causes the heartbeat to reach 150-300 beats per minute, whereas a normal heartbeat is 60-100 beats per minute. In the same interview, Tammy revealed that Michael was hospitalised for several days, and his fans got the information about the same, which led them to reach the hospital. There was one particular fan who moved her. Tammy further talked about Michael's legacy, while revealing that their kids are growing up, listening to his music. She further shared that her husband was sedated as per the doctor's orders, so that his body could heal after the treatment.

However, it was on January 30, 2026, when Michael '5000' Watts passed away. His wife released a statement, wherein she revealed the cause of his death, which was a cardiac arrest, which was caused by the health issue he had. In the statement, it was further revealed that Michael was surrounded by his close ones during the time of his passing.
