Miami Hurricanes' Carson Beck And Ex-Girlfriend, Hanna Cavinder: The REAL Reason For Their Breakup

For those of you who are avid fans of college football and watch it regularly, you might be aware that Carson Beck's postseason journey has been quite interesting this year. The Miami Hurricanes' starting quarterback recently made history by becoming the first Georgia quarterback to play at Kyle Field. The reason he never got a chance to compete in Texas A&M’s home stadium before is because of the SEC’s rotating scheduling system and divisional alignments. 

Now, with Carson grabbing the headlines, fans have become curious about his breakup, which happened a few months ago with Hanna Cavinder. Their curiosity makes all the more sense when you realise that she was one of the main reasons why Beck bolted Georgia for Miami. Carson Beck and Hanna Cavinder are not on speaking terms after their breakup  

College football enthusiasts were really excited when news broke that Carson was expected to enter the 2025 NFL draft. However, their excitement soon turned to disappointment when Carson opted to continue his college football career, moving from the SEC to the ACC. At the time, he was still dating Hanna Cavinder, who is a former Miami basketball player. When he left Georgia and moved to South Florida to be with Hannah, many thought they were heading for a storybook 2025. 

However, just a few months after his move, rumours began circulating in the spring of 2025 that the two were no longer together. Later in October 2025, during an interview with ESPN's Andrea Adekson, Carson finally broke his silence on the breakup and revealed that the two are no longer on speaking terms. He said: 

“You make mistakes as a person, but it sucks that you have to go through something like that with someone that you care about, and now it’s all over the internet. Half of what you see in the media is true. Half of what you see is not true. So, people pick their side of the story and run with it. The people that know the truth know the truth. But it’s been difficult.” 

Hanna Cavinder revealed that Carson Beck had an ego when they were still together  

In April 2025, when people started to speculate whether Hanna and Carson had broken up or not, Miami golfer, Kai Trump, released a video interviewing Hanna along with her twin sister, Haley Cavinder. In the clip, which left fans gasping, Hanna dished some less-than-ideal details on Carson. She even detailed why the two are no longer an item. According to Fox News, in the video, Hanna said that her ex-boyfriend has an ego and that he would want “people to stop and take a picture” of him. Not just that, he would also “flip off people at the bar,” something which made Hanna terribly embarrassed. She further revealed: 

“So I broke up with him, and all this cheating (expletive) came out. I had no idea. I didn’t break up with him because he cheated. I broke up with him because of who he was.” 

In a later TikTok post made by Hanna's sister, Haley, she added fuel to the fire by stating that her twin's instincts about the relationship had been right from the very beginning. She told her followers that if one's sister has a gut feeling about a relationship, it's best to trust her because “she's always right.” 

Both the sisters' revelations did not take long to go viral on social media, which created a huge buzz and a lot of speculation about Carson's character. Additionally, many wondered whether the state of his personal life would affect his game, as he was just beginning his tenure as Miami's starting quarterback.
