Megyn Kelly ripped Kim Kardashian and Kanye 'Ye' West over North West's parenting
North West has already kickstarted her career in the music industry by releasing her debut EP and performing live in front of masses. She has also developed a distinct public persona, featuring elaborate piercings and striking blue hair. Since North has been too much in the public eye at just 13 years of age, journalist Megyn Kelly called out her parents, Kim Kardashian and Kanye 'Ye' West, for the same in the latest episode of The Megyn Kelly Show.
That episode featured doctor and media personality, David Drew Pinsky (popularly known as Dr Drew), who seconded Megyn Kelly's words. Both of them expressed concern regarding the kind of parenting North was getting from Kim and Kanye. Megyn talked about North being on the cover of Dazed Magazine with false teeth, blue hair, and facial piercings, and claimed that her parents were "rushing to try to make her a star."
Drew also echoed Megyn's sentiments and claimed that Kim and Kanye seem like the kind of parents "who have not been available" and "don't look like they're around all the time." As per Drew, North's parents' lack of attention and time for her led the 13-year-old to make questionable life and fashion choices. At one point during the conversation, Drew stated that North "has bipolar in her genetic heritage", suggesting Kanye 'Ye' West's diagnosis, and then claimed that he doesn't fulfil his necessary parenting duties.
Drew doubled down on his sharp jab at Kim and Kanye, stating that the former couple, having put North out in the public eye from her teens, could face strong negative repercussions. Drew even went as far as to compare the downsides of North West growing up in front of the camera to a "guillotine" situation.
Before Megyn Kelly, Meghan McCain shared her concern for North West
TMZ recently reported that TV personality Meghan McCain took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment on North West following the teen's interview with Dazed. Meghan reportedly wrote, "This poor baby. My heart just breaks for this child." No sooner did the comment make the rounds on social media than people started wondering whether it was a dig at North or at her parents, Kanye and Kim, and their parenting.
Following the recent report about her comment on North, Meghan took to her social media handle and released a short statement saying she was really concerned about North. Meghan stated that she feels "terrible" for the 13-year-old because she feels "that kind of magazine cover" is "no place for a child." She echoed sentiments similar to those of Megyn Kelly, expressing concern that North was too exposed to the public eye from an early age.
