The Wholsum Foods was founded by Meghana Narayana and Shauravi Malik back in 2015. As per reports, Meghana and Shauravi were joined by Umang Bhattcharyya in the recent years as one of the co-founders. Out of all the three founders, it is Meghana’s entrepreneurial journey, which has been the most unexpected one. So without further ado, let’s get started.
Meghana Narayan was born on May 11, 1984 in Pune. Right from an early age, she was brilliant in her studies and slightly inclined towards swimming. As she grew up, she pursued her dream of becoming a professional swimmer. In a period of 8-long-years, she participated in a series of competitive swimming competitions.

From being a national champion, winning medals in international competitions, national champion with KCR Women's Relay Team, to setting numerous records, Meghana Narayan simply made our nation proud with her swimming career. Not only this, she even represented India at the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok and Thailand. However, she soon left swimming and went on to focus on her higher studies.
Talking about Meghana Narayan’s educational qualifications, the renowned entrepreneur holds a degree in computer science and engineering from the prestigious Bangalore University. After graduating, Meghana went to the University of Oxford, where she studied computation as a Rhodes Scholar. She decided to pursue MBA from Harvard University, which acted like the icing on the cake.
With all the degrees she had in her kitty, Meghana Narayan went straight into the famous global management consulting, McKinsey & Company. She worked as a consultant in the US and UK for McKinsey for almost a decade. It was during her time at McKinsey, she got the opportunity to explore the condition of public health and child nutrition in the world. She gained a lot of experience and knowledge about the core behind the lack of nutrition in foods and snacks for children.
According to several reports, Meghana Narayan is married to Arunabha Ghosh. The two reportedly met when they were at Oxford University and started dating after a series of meet-ups. However, their wedding date and the identity of Arunabha Ghosh is still unknown. The couple is blessed with a lovely daughter. The famous entrepreneur prefers to guard her personal life from the media and loves keeping her personal life low-key.
After the birth of her daughter, when Meghana Narayan explored the market to find some nutritious food and snacks for her daughter, but what she found was that most of the products were a combination of excess refined sugar, refined flour, trans fats, preservatives and much more. She was highly disappointed to see that no healthy options were available in the market for kids.

Hence, she decided to leave her job and founded a company with Shauravi Malik in 2015, which makes highly-nutritious food and snacks for kids. From marketing vegan, healthy breakfast and snack options to organic products, Meghana and Shauravi created a brand renowned for not compromising the quality of their products. At the 2021 Amazon Global Startup Accelerator program, Slurrp Farm was among the 3 winners.
At the beginning of their business, Meghana Narayan managed to achieve a revenue of Rs. 5 crores. However, with more time and effort, she managed to touch the consumer’s nerves. As a result, she took the company’s revenue from Rs. 5 crores to Rs. 100 crores.
Not only this, in an interview with Business Today, Meghana also stated that she is targeting to achieve the mark of Rs. 500 crores by the year 2025, which speaks volumes about the products of her company.
