Meet Zach Galifianakis' Wife, Quinn Lundberg, Inside Their Love Story, Low-Key Marriage And Children

Zach Galifianakis has been hogging the headlines for his new Netflix show, This is a Gardening Show. The series follows the actor's decision to step back from the limelight for a low-key life in a small Canadian town. The actor rose to fame for his work in The Hangover franchise and was last seen in Thelma the Unicorn

The series has also brought attention to the actor's personal life, especially his marriage to Quinn Lundberg. So, as Zach Galifianakis takes over the internet with his brand new series, let's take a look at his otherwise private marriage and wife.

Who is Zach Galifianakis' wife, Quinn Lundberg?

Zach Galifianakis' wife, Quinn Lundberg, graduated from the CUNY Baccalaureate Program at Hunter College in 2010. She has a degree in international conflict resolution, has volunteered for UNICEF's web production team, and has trained as a dancer while still in school. She has travelled across the globe, including to countries in Africa, Bosnia, and Afghanistan. During her years of travelling, she developed a desire to support local communities through grassroots organisations. Quinn served as the co-founder and vice president of Growing Voices, alongside co-founder and CEO, Melissa Leschuck, and worked from the company's Brooklyn, N.Y., headquarters.

For the unversed, Growing Voices was an online forum founded in 2008 that supports "community-based projects and organisations that encourage development and reconstruction at the local level". According to the organisation's website, the nonprofit worked to provide accessible ways to give at the grassroots level, such as information exchanges and no-fee volunteering. However, after eight years of charity work, Quinn Lundberg and Melissa Leschuck made the tough decision to dissolve Growing Voices in 2016, which also included establishing a domestic violence centre in North Carolina and "support big change in a small Northern fishing village of Malawi, Africa, and give flight to the goals and visions of local leaders in the region."

Additionally, Quinn also studied for a master's program in public policy at UCLA. In 2017, she and Erica Chidi launched LOOM, a centre for inclusive parenting in Los Angeles that was the first of its kind, per the outlet. As of today, LOOM is a completely virtual platform. The centre was eventually acquired by the women's health company Perelel. However, according to a TechCrunch article in October 2024, ahead of the acquisition, Chidi was the only employee remaining at LOOM.

The couple tied the knot in August 2012, in a private ceremony, according to Glamour magazine. However, there is no confirmation about when the couple got engaged or if any of Zach's film friends joined him for the big day. In an interview with E! News in 2012, Amy Poehler hinted at the wedding when she said, "[I'm] so happy for him, and Quinn, his wife, is so amazing." Though the couple did not confirm their wedding at the time while answering the internet's most-searched questions about him for a Wired interview, Zach referred to his "wife" and was quoted as saying:

"I'm a guy who loves life, loves his children, loves his wife. I am married."

The couple has been spotted together on a few red carpets over the years, including the premieres of the movies, Due Date and Dinner for Schmucks in 2010.

Zach Galifianakis and Quinn Lundberg share two beautiful children

After many years together, the couple welcomed their first child on September 7, 2013. Zach Galifianakis and Quinn Lundberg began their parenthood journey without letting anyone have a whiff of the good news. The couple never announced the name of their son, and in fact, it was Matthew Weiner who confirmed the news to E! News during the Toronto Film Festival, saying, "We literally found out on Friday. Zach is going to be the best dad in the world." The actor's manager later confirmed the happy news to the outlet, sharing:

"He missed the premiere because his wife is very pregnant and about to give birth, and he did not want to take the chance of not being in LA if she went into labour."

The couple welcomed their second child, Rufus Emmanuel Lundberg. The little prince was born on November 7, 2016, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, according to the birth certificate obtained by PEOPLE. Even after years, Zach Galifianakis and Quinn Lundberg continue to keep their lives private and their kids away from the limelight. Reflecting on the same, Zack told Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of his movie, Ron's Gone Wrong, in 2021:

"My kids think I'm a librarian somewhere. They don't even know. They think I'm an assistant librarian somewhere."
