The Indian political landscape has been changing at a rapid pace in recent times, with the youth having a stern eye on every comment and action. And now, the political scene has been revived with even more accusations and promotional visits. Adding further fuel to the political realm has been the formation of a new party, which had the youth filling out forms and making reels. The party was started by America-based Abhijeet Dipke as a satirical online political party after a controversial remark made by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
While Trinamool Congress MPs, Mahua Moitra and Kirti Azad, admitted themselves as members of the party, through social media exchanges, the party named Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has been facing a tough time surviving in the country's corruption-ridden political grounds. From online threats to their account being banned on X, numerous events have unfolded that have hindered the party and its ever-increasing membership. Amid that, rapper, Santy Sharma has taken a strong stand about the party, calling out how such movements are more like "internet drama" than anything real.

Santy Sharma has been making headlines for his outspoken comments on the newly formed political party, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). He is an Indian rapper, singer, and internet personality known among the youth for his independent music releases and outspoken commentary on trending social and digital issues. However, over the years, he has built a notable online presence through his music, public statements, and participation in discussions about influencer culture, internet controversies, and youth-focused topics. Before his comment on CJP made headlines, he was previously in headlines for his support for the rapper, Badshah, during the Tateeree song controversy.

Now, Indian rapper and independent music artist, Santy Sharma has entered the conversation about Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). He took to his Instagram handle and shared a strongly worded comment. On his Instagram account, the rapper wrote: "Cockroach Janata Party feels more like internet drama than a serious movement." The rapper pointed out that people have blindly followed a trend without doing the research into what they were getting into. He even alleged that Dipke had been associated with AAP and had shared multiple posts in the past that appeared critical of India itself. He further added:
"If someone truly claims to be nationalist, then the focus should be on solving real issues of India — development, employment, education, innovation, and national unity — instead of emotionally provoking Gen Z into street protests inspired by situations seen in countries like Nepal or Bangladesh. No political party is perfect, including BJP, and criticism is part of democracy. But creating unnecessary instability, outrage culture, and online propaganda is not the solution for India’s growth."

Santy further shared that the controversy has created unnecessary instability and cultural outrage, which in no way will support India's growth. He further pointed out that people need constructive discussions, not "chaos driven by viral trends." He was quoted as saying:

"It is also concerning that a large portion of the social media support behind such movements reportedly comes from accounts linked to Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other anti-India narratives. Indians should stay aware of digital manipulation and propaganda tactics used online. India needs constructive discussions, not chaos driven by viral trends. I request the concerned authorities to monitor such activities carefully and take necessary steps to maintain peace, stability, and national interest."
Santy Sharma shared yet another post on Instagram. A picture of a cockroach killing spray with a note. The rapper has been making headlines for his comments against the CJP and was quoted as saying:
"When cockroaches or other insects breed in your home, they should be eliminated immediately with a repellent spray. Foreign forces are rapidly spreading this cockroach infestation in India, and a powerful spray is urgently needed."
Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) was started by Abhijeet Dipke after India's Chief Justice of the Supreme Court made a controversial remark about the unemployed and unqualified youth of India. He compared the unemployed youth to "cockroaches" and "parasites". The comment ignited an intense backlash from Gen Z, with young Indians embracing the label and starting the "#IAmACockroach" trend to symbolise resilience and strength in the face of institutional dismissiveness. Dipke further took the movement forward and created a satirical online political movement and meme-driven protest, which eventually red to "Cockroach Janta Party".
