It seems that Pep Guardiola's time with Manchester City is about to come to an end. For nearly a decade, Pep had played a significant part in shaping the club's modern history. He had even led the team to their Champions League victory. Now, amid the news of Pep's upcoming departure from Man City, many have become curious about his personal life. If you are one of them, let us introduce you to Pep Guardiola's wife, Cristina Serra.
According to a report by The Sun, Pep Guardiola is married to a Brazilian journalist and writer named Cristina Serra. Reportedly, in January 2025, the couple ended their relationship after living apart for years. Following their split, Cristina moved back to Barcelona to run her fashion company. As they were determined to avoid any ugly court battle and in an effort to remain on good terms, Pep and Cristina made the interesting choice to share the same legal team. Explaining the decision, Spanish journalist, Lorena Vazquez, who broke the story of their split, said:
“They want it above all to be friendly for the sake of their children. As you can imagine, money is not going to be an issue, and they have already agreed on the initial terms to make sure this separation is the most cordial possible. They have a very good relationship, so much so that the same lawyer is arranging the whole thing."

If reports are believed to be true, Cristina Serra's family owns a fashion store called Serra Claret in Barcelona. And apparently, this is where she and Pep Guardiola met for the first time when he was just 18 years old. According to The Sun, at the time Pep was doing some modelling for designer, Antonio Miro, in the shop when he first saw Cristina. To mention, Sara Claret stocks several brands that you might have seen Pep previously wear on the touchline, such as CP Company, Dsquared2, and Armani.

Pep often talked about how much he trusts his wife when it comes to fashion and that he often lets her pick his clothes for him. In a January 2024 interview, Pep revealed that Cristina used to be responsible for choosing his match-day outfits. While speaking with Men in Blazers, he said:
“My wife is the best in the world at many things, but especially in fashion. So she says normally to me, don’t wear this or wear that, so I follow her. I am smart enough to know that when people are much, much better than me, follow their advice, and hers is really good.”

While Pep Guardiola and Cristina Serra met when they were just teenagers, they waited for quite a long time before tying the knot. The duo reportedly got married in an intimate ceremony in Spain in 2014. They kept their wedding a private affair for only close family in the beautiful Spanish area of Catalonia. Over the course of their marriage, Pep and Cristina have welcomed three children, Maria, Marius, and Valentina.
