Who Is Lonna Drewes? Model And Software Company Owner, Was Friends With Eric Swalwell

It looks like a new political controversy has erupted in the United States. For those who do not know, recently a woman named Lonna Drewes accused the former U.S. Congressman, Eric Swalwell of drugging and sexually assaulting her. Reportedly, these accusations were made in a press conference that happened recently, in April 2026. It is worth mentioning that the claims made by Lonna have shocked the entire nation. Who is Lonna Drewes?

If a report by The Times Of India is to be believed, Lonna Drewes is a former model and the owner of a software company. It is worth mentioning that not much details about her are available online. During a recent press conference, she revealed details about an incident that happened in 2018. Reportedly, at that time, Lonna was running a fashion software company and Eric Swalwell had offered to help her in the business. Recalling the initial conversation, she had shared:

"In 2018, while I was living and working as a model in Beverly Hills, and I also owned a fashion software company, I had contact with Eric Swalwell on three separate occasions."

Further, during the press conference, Lonna Drewes opened up about meeting Eric two to three times in her life. She claimed that earlier Eric had invited her to two public events. At that time, she was aware that the politician was married and his wife was expecting a child. However, Lonna considered as a friend at that time. During the third meeting, Lonna claimed that they were supposed to attend a political event, but Eric told her that he needed to go to a hotel as he had forgotten some paperwork. Lonna alleged:

"On the third occasion, I believe he drugged my drink. I only had one glass of wine. When I arrived at his hotel room, I was already incapacitated, and I couldn’t move my arms over my body. He raped me, and he choked me. And while he was choking me, I lost consciousness. I thought I died. I did not consent to any sexual activity, although I did not undergo a rape kit at the time, I disclosed the assault to the people closest to me."

Lonna Drewes alleges she was scared to take action against Eric Swalwell

Recalling the alleged tough phase, Lonna Drewes claimed that after the incident, she had to take therapy. Further, she stated that after everything that happened, she "did not want to live anymore." Well, now that Lonna has come forward, she was questioned about her delay in taking action. To answer the same, Lonna revealed that it was her fear that delayed her decision to take action. In her words:

"My delay in taking action against Eric was driven by fear, not doubt, fear of his political power, his background as an attorney, and his family law enforcement ties."

Is Lonna Drewes the only woman to accuse Eric Swalwell?

According to a report by The Times Of India, Lonna is not the first woman who has accused the politician, Eric. Reportedly, in 2024, a woman came forward and accused him of intoxicating and physically assaulting her. Later, another woman claimed that Eric allegedly tried to touch and kiss her without consent. Apart from this, two women claimed that he sent inappropriate messages and photographs to them on Snapchat.
