Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleLindsay Clancy, the 35-year-old nurse from Duxbury, Massachusetts, led to widespread outrage when the news of her brutal crime surfaced in January 2026. She was charged with the cold-blooded murders of her three children. The incident dates back to 2023; however, her alleged crimes came to light not until 2026. The brutal act took place inside their family home when her husband, Patrick Clancy was away.
Upon returning, Patrick found his pre-teen kids dead and his wife in a serious state as she attempted to kill herself. On July 20, 2026, the first trial of the high-profile triple-murder case took place, which brought the spotlight again on her husband and his comments on the case.
Who is Patrick Clancy and what did he say about his wife being charged with their kids' murder?
Lindsay Clancy's husband, Patrick Clancy is an IT professional. He works remotely for Microsoft, and recent reports suggest that he relocated from their former family home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, to an apartment in Manhattan, New York City. He might have made the shift to move away from the painful memories of losing his children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, in that home. The first trial of the murder case brought his comments about his wife and late kids into focus.
He argued that Lindsay was "not a monster" but rather a deeply loving person who had become severely sick. Notably, when he reached his Massachusetts home on the fateful day, he found out that Lindsay jumped from a second-story window.

Patrick immediately called emergency services. Lindsay survived but was left permanently paralysed from the waist down. At that time, she was allegedly not in a sane mental state, leading to her suicide attempt after strangling her three kids to death. As Lindsay's murder trial officially started, her husband, who was listed as a witness, was expected to testify on behalf of her defence.
The defence is pursuing an insanity plea, arguing that Lindsay Clancy suffered from medically-induced postpartum psychosis when she committed the grave crime. Notably, Patrick Clancy also previously shared about Lindsay's postpartum troubles. He also defended her, saying that she was being portrayed in a certain way by people "who have never met her and never knew who the real Lindsay was."
Patrick opened up about their marriage and relationship before her mental condition worsened. Calling their spousal life "wonderful" and himself a "lucky" husband, Patrick stated:
"Our marriage was wonderful and diametrically grew stronger as her condition rapidly worsened. I took as much pride in being her husband as I did in being a father and felt persistently lucky to have her in my life."
