Meet Kate Mansi's Husband, Matt McInnis, The Creative Force Behind Marvel TV Shows And Short Films

Kate Mansi has been in the headlines ever since it was confirmed that she won’t be a part of the popular soap opera, General Hospital, anymore. Notably, it is Kate’s personal decision to discontinue, and her contract with the show is also scheduled to end soon. Matt McInnis has also been active in the entertainment industry for a long time

Just like his wife, Matt McInnis has been a part of films and TV shows for a long time. He has produced multiple projects. This includes three superhero shows from Marvel - Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist. Apart from that, he has been a co-producer for four episodes of The Witcher: Blood Origin in 2022. He has produced other shows like Defiance, Taxi 22, and Helstrom. In 2025, he was an executive producer of The Rats: A Witcher Tale. 

Matt is also the producer of some short films like One Cadillac Drive, Rainbow Pancakes, Rocketship Misfits, Jimmy, and All Exchanges Final. He has directed three short films so far. McInnis has additionally pursued a brief career in acting. He has appeared in the 2006 cult classic film, Slither. He has played minor roles in shows like A Town Called Eureka, Killer Instinct, Tiki Bar, The L Word, The Chris Isaak Show, and Mysterious Ways.

Kate Mansi and Matt McInnis got engaged a year before they exchanged vows

Despite being a popular face in the entertainment industry, Kate Mansi has preferred to keep her personal life away from the spotlight. The actress’s first meeting with Matt McInnis dates back a few years, when they were invited to the birthday celebration of the Teen Wolf star, Shelley Hennig. Matt was the first to ask Kate to go out with him in a few months. Mansi agreed after Matt refused to give up on her. The pair got attracted to each other immediately after they went out. 

Kate Mansi and Matt McInnis got engaged in July 2024 after the latter popped the question. The couple tied the knot in June 2025 at a restaurant called Redbird. Notably, the duo invited a few guests, telling them that it was a celebration of their engagement. However, they surprised everyone by revealing that it was their marriage ceremony. The ceremony was planned by Carly Rae Weddings. While speaking to PEOPLE, Kate said that she was impressed by Matt’s behaviour with everyone else and the energy that he maintained. She further stated:

“I remember a quiet moment on safari when I turned to him and said, ‘Buckle up, this is gonna go fast.’ And it did - but with such ease and certainty. Anytime I expressed hesitation about the distance, Matt would say, ‘We’re an international 24/7 operation - one of us is always up, thinking about the other. It’s a constant exchange of energy.’”
