Who is Jason Shah?
Jason Shah was born on December 14, 1987, in Ireland. He comes from a diverse family background, with an American father, a British mother, and a Gujarati Indian stepfather. But do you know Jason’s first dream was to become a cricketer? Yes, you read it right. In a 2024 interview with TOI, Jason shared that he wanted to play for India. But because of his British passport, he couldn't play for India. In his words:
"I love cricket; it was my first dream to be a cricketer. I really wanted to play for India. But because of my British Passport, I couldn't play for India, as we had to play the Ranji Trophy. I was quite good; I was bowling about 140 when I was 17."

Jason is a British actor and fitness model. He has participated in Bigg Boss 10 as a wildcard entrant. He played the role of 'Captain Hugh Ross' in the TV series, Jhansi Ki Rani and portrayed 'Sir John Greenwood' in the TV series, Barrister Babu. He starred in the series, Heeramandi. He also appeared in films, including Thugs of Hindostan, Conjuring Kannappan, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, Mission: Chapter 1, Jigra, Nagabandham and Jana Nayagan.
Jason Shah admitted that he was a sex addict and a chain smoker
Back in 2024, Jason opened up about his addiction to sex and how he was a chain smoker on the YouTube channel Shaardulogy. Revealing one of the darkest phases of his life, the Heeramandi fame shared that he smoked as many as two and a half packets of cigarettes a day. He was totally obsessed with women and physical relationships. He was quoted as saying:
"It was alcohol. I was smoking about two and a half packs a day. I can definitely say I was addicted to women. It was a sex addiction which was very difficult for me. I think it was one of the bigger ones to leave."
Jason Shah's past relationships

Jason Shah has had his own fair share of ups and downs in his relationships. However, it was his relationship with Anusha Dandekar that grabbed significant attention. In April 2021, Jason and Anusha confirmed their relationship. In August 2021, they called it quits by deleting the photos of each other from social media. Sharing his take on the failed relationships and his plans, Jason said in a 2024 interview with TOI:
"I think when you are with someone, I have had a few girlfriends and things didn't work out. I think now I will make a better choice, instead of just because it feels good; that is where I was going wrong. Now, I hope that I find a person who knows, firstly, what love is. It takes maturity to learn and understand. I think personally, it's an action, what you do. All I can say is that I make a better decision; whoever the next person is, I am sure that she will be my wife."

Earlier, in February 2026, Jason sat for a candid conversation with SCREEN. According to him, the movies have lost their innocence and simplicity. He wondered whether the audience would like to watch a light-hearted movie at this time. Jason shared that people nowadays like to watch more violent and intense content.
