Love Island UK Series 13 recently started trending after a contestant was removed from the show. Latest updates have revealed that Gabriel Garland won’t be a part of the show anymore. The reason is the contestant’s alleged association with a stabbing case that happened in 2019. The latest development has left the audience surprised, and they are eager to learn more about Gabriel.

Who is Gabriel Garland?

Gabriel Garland has been pursuing a career in modelling for a long time. The 24-year-old is a resident of London. Before he entered Love Island UK, Gabriel Garland opened up about the kind of partner that he was searching for. He said that his partner should be someone who is intelligent, emotionally mature, confident, and humble. Gabriel further stated:

“I also definitely have a soft spot for brunettes, dark features and tanned. I’d say that’s my ideal type. Yeah, I have my eye on a few. I’d say Priya and Jasmine would be my typical types, especially in the outside world. Obviously, they’re all very attractive, so I’m just going to wait and see when I get in there, get a vibe and see who I connect with.”

Love Island UK producers were unaware of Gabriel Garland’s legal case

Gabriel Garland’s legal problem that happened around seven years ago came into the spotlight after he participated in Love Island UK. The legal documents related to the case, which happened in 2019 in London, revealed that a man named Vitor Mazzer allegedly stabbed two people, following which he was found guilty of two charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Mazzer was sentenced to 42 months.

Gabriel and the two victims reportedly had a dispute for unknown reasons before the stabbing happened. Gabriel accompanied Mazzer to the party. Notably, Gabriel’s mother, Joanne, also appeared at the court after the case, giving a character statement for her son. However, Gabriel was not convicted in the case, which is one of the reasons that ITV did not find his link to the matter before the show started. Gabriel was removed immediately when ITV found the details of the case. A spokesperson of the show also shared a statement about it, which says:

“Gabriel has now left the villa and will not be returning. We will not be commenting further out of a duty of care towards participants.”

As of now, it has been confirmed that although Gabriel Garland has been removed, there won’t be a replacement. Moreover, Gabriel has not reacted to the situation from his side so far. While nine contestants have been dumped from the show so far, a contestant named George Knight previously walked out due to a similar situation. George was reportedly removed for using inappropriate language on the show. Furthermore, the health issues of a family member were another reason behind his exit.
