With the release of Dhurandhar on December 5, 2025, most of the actors who have starred in the film are making headlines for their spectacular performances. Among the ensemble cast, Arjun Rampal, who played the role of 'Major Iqbal' in the spy-action movie, especially won hearts with one particular sequence showcasing the 26/11 attack. At a time when the excitement for the film is at an all-time high, the actor revealed that he is engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades.
The two had been together for 6 years prior to their engagement. They also share two sons together, named Arik and Ariv. The couple decided to break the happy news during their appearance on Rhea Chakraborty's podcast. While their engagement news has left everyone buzzing with excitement, many fans have started to get curious about his ex-wife, Mehr Jesia.

Mehr Jesia is one of the most popular models from the 80s. Her journey began when she won the Femina Miss India and became a supermodel soon after. In 1986, she had her monumental win in the Femina Miss Universe pageant, which led her to represent India at the Miss Universe pageant. Having started her career in the 1980s, she can easily be called one of the first-generation Indian supermodels.

Alongside her fellow models at the time, like Madhu Sapre, Feroze Gujral, Shyamolie Verma, and Abba Bredmeyer, Mehr redefined beauty standards by bringing Indian fashion to a global stage. What made her stand out from her contemporaries was her striking features, poise, and confidence. As one of the most sought-after models, she graced the covers of several fashion magazines. On top of this, Mehr also walked the runway for some of the biggest designers in the industry.

Although Mehr started her career as a model, she transitioned beyond it and tried her hand at production. In 2006, she co-produced the film, I See You. The other producer for this film was her then-husband, Arjun Rampal. The film was released under their production company, Chasing Ganesha. The film's cast also included Arjun, along with Vipasha Agarwal, Sonali Kulkarni, and Boman Irani. Through this film, Mehr showcased her versatility and commitment to the entertainment industry.

Since both Mehr and Arjun belonged to the modelling industry, their romance at the time did not surprise anyone. The two tied the knot in 1998, when Arjun was only 24 years old. At the time, they became one of the ‘power couples' in the industry. The pair shares two daughters together, Mahikaa and Myra.

The couple went strong for nearly two decades, which is why when they announced their separation, it left the entire nation shocked. Arjun and Mehr announced their divorce in a joint statement; however, they chose not to reveal the exact reason for their choice. This led to much speculation about the apparent reason, with an India Today report suggesting that Arjun was romantically linked to Sussanne Khan at the time. An insider for the publication revealed:
"Mehr had learnt that Arjun and Sussanne were still meeting secretly and were close friends. She was traumatised as she had believed Arjun when he said he was a changed man and that everything would be fine.”
Reportedly, like most couples, Mehr and Arjun also had their fair share of fights and reconciliations. However, the decision to end their marriage came as the differences grew. Recalling a nasty fight that the couple had, a filmmaker close to them revealed:
"They were fighting so loudly and throwing things at each other that the neighbours threatened to complain to the police as it wasn't the first fight of its kind. Mehr apologised profusely to them and immediately after that, Arjun moved into a five-star service apartment for a week.”
