Popular actress, Meena Durairaj, popularly known as Meena is a diva, who has won hearts with her acting chops in the South Indian film industry and Bollywood. The actress is adored for her charming looks and a million-dollar smile. However, her world turned upside down on June 27, 2022, when her entrepreneur-husband, Vidyasagar passed away due to a lung infection.
For the unversed, Meena had tied the knot with the Bengaluru-based businessman, Vidyasagar, on July 12, 2009. Together they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Nainika. The family of three were living the best of their lives until their pillar of strength, Vidyasagar left for his heavenly abode at the early age of 48.

On June 27, 2022, Meena’s husband, Vidyasagar had his last breath. He was suffering from a lung infection and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. Unfortunately, despite getting treated for a long time, it did not help Vidyasagar recover. Earlier, he was diagnosed with coronavirus in March 2022, and it was reported that he had contracted a lung infection, which had deteriorated with time. His last rites would be conducted at 2 pm on June 29, 2022, at Besant Nagar, Chennai cemetery.
On July 12, 2021, Meena had celebrated her marriage anniversary with her husband, Vidyasagar. She had stepped down memory lane and had dropped a beautiful picture from their wedding day. In the picture, the couple was seen smiling and posing for the camera. While Meena had looked gorgeous in a baby pink-hued wedding ensemble, her groom, Vidyasagar had looked handsome in an ivory-hued sherwani. Alongside it, she had penned:
“You came into my life like a Rainbow and made it beautifully colorful. Together, is a wonderful and my favorite place to be. Wearing the smile you gave me, forever. Happy Anniversary Husband.”

Meena’s doting daughter, Nainika had also followed her mommy’s footsteps and had entered into the film industry as a child artist. She had beautifully played the character of popular actor, Vijay’s daughter in the blockbuster movie, Theri.
