Mayor of Kingstown season 4 is coming to an end with the 10th episode streaming on December 28, 2025. The crime drama is one of the most intriguing series on the OTT platform, and season four has been a doozy, as it has tons of shocking deaths of its characters and clashes. As season four is coming to an end, fans are already anticipating season five of the OTT show.

Mayor of Kingstown, streaming on JioHotstar, is created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon. It stars Jermey Renner as 'Mike McLusky', who is a former prison inmate and takes the position of 'Mayor' in the city. As per the storyline, the mayor is a fixer. He tries to maintain the peace between prisoners, guards, and administrators within the walls of correctional facilities. In season four, it shows how 'Mike' tries his best to keep his brother, 'Kyle', played by Taylor Handley, safe in prison. He is a former Kingstown SWAT team member. He gave a plea for reduced sentence after he used his rifle to subdue a fellow SWAT officer in order to protect a family that 'Robert' threatened during a riot on a bridge. 

However, 'Kyle's' safety isn't entirely guaranteed after a strict new warden, 'Nina Hobbs', played by Edie Falco, runs her prison strictly by the rules. Talking about season 5, it is going to be picked up from where season 4 ended. So, yes, both seasons are related, and the focus will remain on 'Mike's fight as he continues to struggle and make difficult choices. Season five might also shift its focus to 'Kyle'.

It is also worth mentioning that season five is going to be the final season of the OTT series. So, a lot of doubts will be answered in this season. The star of the show, Jeremy Renner, in a fan interaction, dropped truth bombs about the finale. He was quoted as saying:

"Mayor of Kingstown will end with season 5, and we already have a really cool end planned."

It is worth mentioning that the date for season 5 of Mayor of Kingstown has not yet been released. Also, it had a scattered premiere timelines, which make it more difficult to predict season five. In November 2021, the first season was released. The second one came after a gap of two on January 2023. The third season was released in June 2024, and season four was released in October 2025.

The description reveals that 'Mike' fights to prevent 'Kyle' from following in his footsteps and confronts the demons of his past. 'Hobbs' made a crucial decision as 'Bunny' gained a new advantage. The official summary of season four reads:

"Mike’s control over Kingstown is threatened as new players compete to fill the power vacuum left in the Russians’ wake, compelling him to confront the resulting gang war and stop them from swallowing the town. Meanwhile, with those he loves in more danger than ever before, Mike must contend with a headstrong new Warden (Edie Falco) to protect his own while grappling with demons from his past.”
