After the popularity of Celebrity MasterChef, the 2026 version of the show will have an interesting theme. When and where to watch MasterChef India 2026? 

MasterChef India is going to be adding a lot of flavours to the new year as the show is set to premiere on January 5, 2026. The show will be broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television from the premiere onwards. Reportedly, the episodes will also be available on the SonyLIV OTT platform for the viewers to conveniently binge-watch the show. 

MasterChef India Season 9 theme and judges 

MasterChef India has a roster of popular judges who appear on the show. Sometimes new names are also added to the mix. However, the trio of Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar, and Kunal Kapur is one of the most loved panels. In a piece of good news for MasterChef India fans, these three celebrity chefs will be the ones appearing as judges on the show and sharing their expertise. The theme is called as 'Pride of India' and the tagline is 'Desh Front Foot Par Chal Raha Hai'. This franchise also entered India in 2010 and has since achieved significant success. There have also been various spin-offs, such as Junior MasterChef and Celebrity MasterChef. The latter's season one was introduced earlier this year, in 2025. Gaurav Khanna of Anupamaa fame won the first season of Celebrity MasterChef. There are also regional versions of the show in Tamil and Telugu. 

Meanwhile, the MasterChef India season 8 was won by Mohammed Ashiq, which aired in October 2023. Md. Ashiq, who is from Mangalore, was a contestant who had been disqualified in a prior season. Hence, his victory in season 8 was a significant win, which had everyone cheering for him. Whether the upcoming season will have all new faces as contestants or there might be some returning contestants remains to be seen.
