The sudden demise of the iconic actor and filmmaker, Satish Kaushik has affected the lives of millions, as a petal of their life has gone forever. The actor holds a special place among the lovers of Hindi cinema, as over the decades, he has entertained everyone with his comedy characters and movies. It was on March 9, 2023, when Satish Kaushik died on his way to the hospital due to a heart attack. The entire B-town came forward to extend their deepest condolences on the tragedy and prayed for the well-being of his wife, Shashi Kaushik and his daughter, Vanshika Kaushik.
On March 9, 2023, ace fashion designer and actress, Masaba Gupta took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture collage. In the sepia-hued collage, we can see the rare picture of Masaba’s mother, Neena Gupta, the late actor, Satish Kaushik and iconic actor, Anupam Kher. All three pictures were probably from their theatre days and testified to their long-lasting friendship. For the unversed, the trio of Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik and Neena Gupta were friends before making it big in the Hindi cinema. We have repeatedly seen them reciting the tales of their theatre days.

Masaba Gupta also posted another rare picture on her IG stories that featured Satish Kaushik and her mother, Neena Gupta. Atop the priceless picture, Masaba penned a note in which she talked about the ‘greatest gift’ that Satish Kaushik had given to her mother, Neena Gupta, throughout his life. Her note atop the picture can be read as:
"Rest in peace Kaushik uncle - you gave mom the greatest gift… your kindness through all those years- will miss you."
On March 9, 2023, Neena Gupta took to her Instagram handle and posted a video in which she shared her deepest condolences on her close friend, Satish Kaushik’s sudden demise. The veteran actress admitted that it was a piece of heartbreaking news for her, just like millions of people out there. Recalling the times of their college days, Neena stated that Satish was the only person, who used to call her by the nickname, Nancy, while she used to call him Kaushikan.

Going further in the video, Neena Gupta also stated that she is standing with Satish Kaushik’s wife, Shashi Kaushik and his daughter, Vanshika Kaushik, at the time of this tragedy. At the end of the video, Neena said, “Goodbye Kaushikan”, and it was enough to wet everyone’s eyes. For the unversed, Neena, in her autobiography, Sach Kahun Toh, revealed that Satish had once proposed to her for marriage when she was pregnant with her first child, Masaba. Although they did not get married, but Satish’s gesture made their bond even stronger.
Satish Kaushik will always be missed for his evergreen smile and the kind of positivity and happiness his presence used to exude.
