Earlier, in 2025, legendary boxing champion, Mary Kom confirmed the divorce news and shared that it was finalised on December 20, 2023, with mutual consent. The couple shares four children. In a recent interview, the boxing legend made some shocking claims against Onler involving financial betrayal, cheating, divorce drama and more.

In a recent interview with Rajat Sharma on Aap Ki Adalat, Mary Kom revealed that her ex-husband, Onler, lived on her finances. While there have been allegations against the boxing legend that after getting successful, she ditched Onler, Mary sets the record straight by revealing it was her ex-husband who cheated and ditched her. Some reports say that Onler sacrificed his successful football career to look after his family, including Mary and their four children. Mary opened up about the following. She mentioned that her ex-husband, Onler, didn’t earn a single penny. She was quoted as saying:

"I did not ditch him. He cheated and ditched me. For the last two years, I kept this a secret. My hard-earned money - he didn't contribute one rupee! He has no successful career. He plays street football, and so do many people; that doesn't make you Bhaichung Bhutia or Sunil Chhetri!"

Further in the interview, Mary Kom opened up about what went wrong in her marriage to Onler. The boxing legend highlighted that after she sustained the career-ending injury just before the 2022 Commonwealth Games, she saw the real face of her ex-husband, Onler. Mary revealed that she caught Onler red-handed when he had withdrawn Rs. 10 lakhs from her account.

Later, when Mary charged him, he lied about it and said that he took only Rs. 30,000. She mentioned that she invested Rs. 5 to Rs. 6 crores to fulfil her ex-husband’s wish to become a politician, although she didn’t like it. She added that Onler took loans in her name and used to drink daily. She was quoted as saying:

"God gave me this injury for the better. I sacrificed my life to earn money, I sacrificed seeing my kids grow up ... and he betrayed me! So, how can I be happy with such a man?"

Mary’s allegations against her ex-husband, Onler, didn't end here. She mentioned that he was not a great dad to her four children, as the maids looked after them, while he slept all day. She highlighted that after her divorce, the kids chose to stay with her, and she is the one who is handling their expenses.

In a recent interview with PTI, Mary Kom opened up about her bad times after she sustained the injury just before the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She mentioned that during that tough phase, she was bedridden for several months. However, during that time, she realised that the man whom she trusted was not what she believed him to be. She was quoted as saying:

"Things were fine till I was competing and had very little involvement in my finances, but when I got injured before the 2022 Commonwealth Games, I realised I was living a lie. I was bedridden for several months and needed a walker after that. It was then that I realised that the man I had trusted was not what I believed him to be. I did not want it to be a spectacle for the world, so I sought a divorce after several attempts to resolve it between us."
