Mary Kom hardly needs an introduction. However, she has been hogging the limelight for all the wrong reasons lately. Currently, Mary is inside the Bigg Boss 20 house. In a recent episode of BB 20, Mary body-shamed actor-politician Manoj Tiwari’s daughter, Rhiti Tiwari and called her 'moti'. In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20, the six-time world champion disregarded the other athletes. Now, netizens are slamming her for her mean remarks.

Mary Kom faces backlash as she disregards other athletes on the show, Bigg Boss 20

In the latest episode of Salman Khan-hosted show, Mary Kom was seen highlighting her own achievements, and during this, she seemed to have disregarded other athletes. Mary and singer Qazi Touqueer were having a conversation, and that is when he recalled some of the Indian women athletes who have made India proud. He said, "Hamare yaha sports mein kon kon ladki ne kamal kiya hai, Sania Mirza also did great, Saina Nehwal…"

Mary was quick to interrupt Qazi’s statement and said, "Lekin mere jaisa koi achieve nahi kiya." The boxing legend then pointed out that she is a six-time World Champion. For the uninitiated, Mary is the only woman to win the World Boxing Championships six times, with her six gold medals coming in 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2018. However, Mary’s comment did not sit well with the netizens. A user wrote on X (formerly Twitter) and called her a narcissist.

A user penned, "Qazi is praising the female athletes & then Mary Kom aunty is being salty! Bhai, what’s wrong with praising others without being demeaning? They are not even from your sport, which you do take part in! Ridiculous!" A third user shared, "I respect Mary Kom, whatever she achieved in her life, but bohat ghamandi and full of herself hai. She should respect other athletes as well." Another user pointed out that the boxing legend has such an ego. Another tweet can be read as:

"Why does Mary Kom keep shading other athletes, man? Her best was bronze in the Olympics, while PV Sindhu and Mirabai Chanu are silver medallists. I respect her for the glory she brought for our country, but why put others down?"
