A report by Wion claimed that Julien’s Auctions house held a sale to celebrate the centenary of the legendary actress, Marilyn Monroe. It had more than 190 listed items related to the actress. A look at Julien’s Auctions' Instagram page showed an auction of Marilyn Monroe’s bathroom tile, letters from her psychiatrist, bras, and various images from her visits to the doctor.

The report mentioned that the set of X-rays dates back to 1954 and has come under the radar due to the sensitive nature and the repetitive sexualisation of the pop icon, even 60 years after her death. Marilyn Monroe's pelvic x-ray, according to the report, was taken by a gynaecologist at a hospital located in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

The activist wanted to destroy Marilyn's private medical data to protect her honour and not let a lady be auctioned. She had further added that if one has about USD 30,000 and a barbecue and a US address, and is interested in buying Marilyn's X-rays, together it can be destroyed. The activist wanted the lady to rest in peace. She had shared:

"It feels like we've reached a particularly shitty inflexion point of capitalism if we're auctioning off a woman's private medical data," she told her 600,000 viewers at the time of writing."
