Annemarie is seeking the custody of her children

Two days after the arrest of Marcellus Wiley, Annemarie filed for divorce on July 6, 2026. The legal documents revealed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. Apart from this, Annemarie is seeking spousal support and legal costs, followed by the legal and physical custody of their children.
Annemarie has requested the court to protect her kids while she filed a domestic violence restraining order against the NFL star. Annemarie has requested the court to keep Marcellus 100 yards away from her and let her use their residence in Los Angeles. Annemarie has made multiple other allegations against Marcellus in the legal documents, referring to incidents that happened years ago.
Annemarie accused Marcellus of rape, saying that the incident happened in 2012 when she was intoxicated. Notably, Wiley reportedly hit her in the face in 2014, followed by another case, where Wiley allegedly tossed a Coca-Cola bottle on her head in 2019. The bottle incident happened when Annemarie was expecting a child. Back in 2025, Marcellus reportedly hit Annemarie with shoes on her face.
The court documents addressed an incident from January 2026 when Marcellus reportedly pulled Annemarie from bed and hit her on the head. Annemarie claimed that she was eventually raped by Marcellus, who also told her to do exactly what he told her since he considered her his property. Annemarie said that Marcellus has yet to return the amount of USD 100,000 that he borrowed from her.
Annemarie was reportedly threatened by Marcellus Wiley before the latter’s arrest

As mentioned, Marcellus Wiley was arrested on July 4, 2026. Before Annemarie filed for divorce and a restraining order, TMZ acquired the arrest report on July 6, 2026, which revealed that Annemarie and Marcellus had a dispute in a hotel room in Florida for some reason, following which Annemarie contacted the police to file a complaint.
Notably, Marcellus and Annemarie were accompanied by their children to the place as they were supposed to go for a basketball tournament. Annemarie told the police that she was sitting on her bed when Marcellus stood over her and poked her in the cheek with a finger. The duo’s daughter was present when this happened.
As soon as the police came to the hotel, Annemarie asked them to take Marcellus Wiley out of the room, alleging that he had threatened to take her life and she was scared of him. On the other hand, Marcellus dismissed the allegations while speaking to the police, saying that he and Annemarie did not have a dispute and he had never used his hand on his wife. Marcellus also showed a few text conversations between him and Annemarie to prove his claims.
Following his arrest, a no-contact order was issued against Marcellus Wiley, restricting him from being in touch with Annemarie. The order asked Marcellus to maintain a distance of 500 feet from Annemarie, including their house and the place where Annemarie is currently working. Furthermore, Marcellus was not allowed to contact Annemarie via social media and email or to use the children to deliver any message to her.
Although Marcellus was released after his arrest, he was asked to follow a few rules, including that he was not allowed to have any weapons or firearms with him and live separately. He was also allowed to return to California.
