Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has been leading the limelight ever since the film was released. Be it Ranbir’s portrayal of an alpha male or its shattering box-office records, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s dream project is in the headlines. While the scene got a lot of criticism for showing marital rape, the actress, who played Bobby’s third wife, Mansi Taxak, too came into the spotlight. Let us delve into unknown details about Mansi Taxak.
As per reports, Mansi Taxak was born on July 23, 1998, in a Gujarati family in Mumbai. While her father is a businessman, her mother is a homemaker. Mansi reportedly did her schooling at Fellowship Mission, Vapi, Gujarat and has also studied in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans, M M College of Arts, N.M. Institute of Science and Haji Rashid Jaffer College of Commerce Bhavans College. She also did her Bachelor’s in Mass Media from Mumbai University. Besides studies, Mansi was an athlete and represented her school at the state level.
After completing her education, Mansi started her career as a model and also took part in many beauty pageants. In 2019, she participated in Miss India Gujarat 2019 and bagged the title of ‘Miss Vivacious’. Mansi was one of the jury members in the Miss Universal Queen 2020. Mansi has been a part of many fashion shows and has showcased the creations of designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Manish Malhotra, Gaurav Gupta, Gaurang Shah and many others.

Before making it big in Hindi cinema, Mansi was featured in advertisements for various brands like Rajnigandha Silver Pearls mouth freshener, Aarvi Fashions, and a few others. It was in 2022 when Mansi made her acting debut with the Hindi short film, I Promise. Later, in 2023, Mansi was seen playing the role of John Abraham's wife in Sandeep Anand’s action thriller, Pathaan, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead.
After Pathaan, Mansi was cast in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s multi-starrer, Animal. In the film, she played the role of 'Umm-e-Hani', Bobby Deol’s third wife. Mansi's entry starts with the scene of her wedding to Abrar, played by Bobby. However, the particular scene raised many eyebrows as it showed Mansi getting raped by her husband, Abrar (Played by Bobby), at the wedding venue.

The wedding scene turned controversial, and many blamed Sandeep for justifying marital rape. In an interview with Zoom, Mansi defended the scene and said:
“It is shocking, of course. Nobody expects their wedding to end that way. When the wedding sequence starts, if you see the lights, the way the art was done, it was beautiful. You hear the music, that has gone so viral on Instagram. It was heading towards a beautiful end, and suddenly, you see something like this happening. It was to tell the audience that an animal is coming; if you thought Ranbir (Ranbir Kapoor) was this way, you can expect the villain to be (worse).”
Mansi also revealed that the scene was not put to show assault, and the intention was not to hurt anyone. In her words:
“It was an apt way to establish Bobby sir’s character and to show the audience what real animal we’re talking about. It was not the intent to show that any sort of assault was happening. It was just that Bobby sir did not expect his brother’s death news to come on the wedding, which puts the character into a zone where he couldn’t think straight. And that’s what we’re talking about, right? Animal instincts are unpredictable instincts.”
