Manoj Bajpayee Refuses Celebrating Diwali This Year Because Of His Father's Demise

Manoj Bajpayee stated that he will be having a working Diwali instead of a celebration, as he still couldn't stop mourning, since his father's demise in October.

Manoj Bajpayee Refuses Celebrating Diwali This Year Because Of His Father's Demise

While the whole Tinseltown is getting ready for celebrating Diwali, on the other hand, National award winner-actor, Manoj Bajpayee has confirmed that in 2021, he won't be celebrating Diwali because of his father's demise.

Manoj Bajpayee and his father, R. K Bajpayee have always shared a beautiful bond with each other. The actor was very fond of his father. For the unversed, R. K Bajpayee passed away in October, 2021 at the age of 83.

Family Man fame actor, Manoj Bajpayee is working in Kerala for his next film and will be packed with shooting schedules even on Diwali. Sources close to the actor have attested that he won't be celebrating Diwali with his friends and family members in 2021.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Manoj had revealed that when he was receiving the felicitation for being the 'Best Actor' in the National Awards, he felt 'alone'. As the actor further mentioned, it was his father who used to keep a track of his films, awards, honours, and everything. Now, that he is gone, Manoj misses him the most!

Further adding to the conversation, the actor revealed that on 'wonderful occasions' people celebrate those events with their loved ones. But, he was unable to do that. He mentioned that on the National Awards felicitation day, his wife and his daughter was supposed to be there but couldn't make it. Therefore, he missed them and his parents dearly. He felt 'a bag of mixed emotions' while taking the award.

After his father passed away, the actor had taken to his Twitter account to share his heartfelt gratitude towards his fans and followers. In the tweet, he had written:

"Thank you all for sending prayers and love on the sad demise of my father who was the sole reason and support for me to venture on such a difficult journey which got me everything that I dreamt of!! Eternally grateful to you all."
