When we hear the word Indian wedding, the first thing that pops up in our minds is the traditional red-coloured wedding ensembles. That’s because, in Hindu nuptial ceremonies, the colour red symbolises love, new beginnings, prosperity, and passion. However, with changing times, the brides have become more experimental with their selection of colours. They do not opt for ordinary hues anymore and instead looks out for trendy tint for their wedding lehengas.
Here is one such bride, who had ditched the laal rang ka lehenga, and had set an inspiration for all the soon-to-be brides by trying out a different coloured outfit for her D-day. She had deliberately opted for a pineapple yellow lehenga from the shelves of the celebrated designer, Manish Malhotra, and it will surely catch a hold of your attention.
Meet Manish Malhotra’s bride, Anjan Sethi, who had chosen a gorgeous pineapple yellow lehenga for her 'Anand Karaj'. Her lehenga had featured intricate silver embroidery work on her choli. She had completed her look with a sheer yellow dupatta adorned with floral motifs of gold and silver embroidery, which also had a silver gota patti border around it. Anjan’s outfit had caught the eyes of many on social media because of its unique colour.
The bride had accentuated her look by accessorising her outfit with a diamond choker set with green and white pearl-shaped emeralds dangling at its edges. Along with her neckpiece, Anjan had donned a maang teeka, matha-patti, long dangling earrings, and stone studded bangles. What is a bride without flaunting her chooda and golden kaleeras? Anjan had amped up her look with red choodas and golden kaleers and had looked breathtaking.
The bride’s makeup artist, Amrita Bokey, had tied her hair into a neat bun adorned with carnations. Anjan had opted for peach pink eye shadow, definite eyebrows, winged eyeliner, thick eyelashes, perfectly contoured cheekbones, and pink lip shade. Anjan's sleek hairdo and subtle makeup had added to her overall appearance.
While we were drooling over Anjan’s vibrant ensemble, her groom had looked equally handsome and had complemented the bride with a contrasting hue. He had donned an off-white coloured Sabyasachi sherwani with intricate embroidery and had looked dashing. He had completed his look with a green beaded necklace and a pair of brown coloured shoes.
For her pre-wedding event, Anjan had dressed in a fancy blue dhoti jumpsuit by the label, Papa Don’t Preach by Shubhika, and had looked absolutely astonishing. Her noodle strap raw silk cobalt dress had 3D floral embroidery details in sequins, pearls, glass beads, and chunky metallic accents. She had accessorised her look with a statement maang teeka and choker neckpiece. Anjan had carried a silver metal clutch and had worn pink pointed pumps to stun in her Indo fusion outfit.
Anjan Sethi's choice of yellow coloured lehenga is an inspiration for all the brides-to-be. Did you like her pineapple yellow lehenga? Let us know!
