Mandira Bedi Wants To Become A Mother Again, Reveals Her Wish Of Adopting A Baby Girl

Motherhood is not at all bed of roses, but it is the most important journey that turns a girl into a woman. To nurture a baby is God's biggest gift given to a woman. And while it is the toughest 24*7 jobs without any off, every woman happily wants to embrace it. That's the magic of being a mother. In B-town, we have met many women, who chose to adopt a child and gave a new meaning to motherhood and Mandira Bedi wants to embrace motherhood for the second time via adoption. (Recommend Read: Malaika Arora Spill Beans On Her Dream White Wedding With Boyfriend, Arjun Kapoor)

Before we take you further into the story, let us take a look at the gorgeous diva's journey. Television's popular face, Mandira Bedi is a perfect example of a strong woman, who takes life as it comes. Apart from being an extraordinary actress, she is also an accomplished fashion designer, a gorgeous wife, and a hands-on mommy to an eight-year-old son, Vir Kaushal. At the age of 47, she doesn't look a year older than twenty, thanks to her fitness regime.

Recently, Mandira has been making headlines with her revelation of becoming a second-time mother via adoption process. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Mandira shared that her husband, Raj wanted a sister for their son, Vir. They want to adopt a baby girl between the age of two-and-a-half to four-years-old and have also decided a cute name for her - Tara. However, it has been two years since they had applied for it at the CARA (Central Adoption Resource Authority) which is the central adoption agency under which all adoptions across the country take place. (Also Read: Kartik Aaryan Reacts On His Linkup Rumours With Ananya Panday And Breakup Reports With Sara Ali Khan)

Mandira also shared that her experience of becoming a mother has given her this new perspective, and said, "Motherhood is the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me. There is so much that I learn from my son. He speaks like a wise old man at times and tells me ‘Mumma… I just love the feeling of love'. When you experience parenthood, it makes you look at the other side as well. The unconditional love I feel for my son, I can only imagine what my parents feel for me. And it has made me love and respects my parents more."

In an earlier interview with the Hindustan Times, Mandira had opened up on embracing motherhood at the age of 39, and revealed, "I gave birth to my son when I was 39, in 2011, as my contracts didn’t allow me to get pregnant. I was scared that if I get pregnant, it will be the end of my career. The entertainment business is brutal. I couldn’t have done it without the support of my husband, who has made our marriage a success."

She had further added, "I thought my work is going to stop any day... looking at other actors working more than me on TV and films made me feel very insecure. When people would ask me why did I leave cricket or pity me saying ‘Oh, you aren’t doing cricket anymore’, I would have a sinking feeling in my stomach. It took me time to accept the change and realised that I didn’t leave cricket, it was they (organisers) who moved on to somebody new." (Don't Miss: Kareena Kapoor Khan Reveals If She Had Insecurities After Marrying Saif Or Giving Birth To Taimur)
