Celebrating festivals when your heart is in pain can be hard, and most of us must have dealt with it. Mandira Bedi is picking up the broken pieces of her heart after her husband, Raj Kaushal’s death for the sake of their kids, Vir Kaushal and Tara Bedi Kaushal. From celebrating Tara’s first birthday with her family to celebrating Raksha Bandhan, Mandira is holding herself and keeping her kids’ happiness as her priority.
For the unversed, it was on June 30, 2021, when director, Raj Kaushal, had suffered a cardiac arrest and had passed away, leaving his wife and children behind. On July 13, 2021, Mandira had expressed her grief of losing the love of her life on her IG handle. She had shared a picture with 'Raji.....' written on a tissue paper and had captioned it as "Miss you Raji...", followed by a heartbroken emoticon.

Raksha Bandhan was the first festival after Raj Kaushal’s death and Mandira ensured that her kids, Vir and Tara celebrate the same. Taking to her IG handle, Mandira shared a series of pictures from their Rakhi celebrations. While Mandira wore a pink chikankari suit, Tara wore a blue and yellow choli skirt, and Vir wore a white kurta. Mandira captioned the pictures as “#HappyRakhee from us to you.. #lovelovelove #virtara.” Mandira also shared pictures on her IG stories, thanking her friend, Ashish Chowdhry for making her family a part of their Rakhi celebration.
On July 28, 2021, Mandira had celebrated her daughter, Tara’s birthday and had penned an adorable birthday wish for her. To mark one year of Tara's arrival at their household, Mandira had shared some beautiful memories of their family. She had written, "28th July! One year today since you came into our lives, sweet sweet Tara... And so we celebrate you today… it’s your 5th birthday my baby. I love you so much #beginagain."

Later, while mourning the loss of her husband, Raj, Mandira had ensured to celebrate Tara's birthday. She had taken to her IG stories to share pictures from Tara's birthday celebration. Mandira had posted a picture with Tara, with balloons in the backdrop and had written, "My little girl wasn't denied her first birthday celebration in our home." She had also posted a picture of Vir with fairy lights and had written, "On his little sis's birthday."
On August 13, 2021, Mandira had taken to her Instagram stories to share a picture on her IG stories. In the mirror-selfie, Mandira was seen getting her makeup done. Atop it, the actress had written, "Today is the first day of my rest of the life."
On August 11, 2021, Mandira Bedi had taken to her IG stories to share a picture of her daughter, Tara Bedi Kaushal. It was clicked just before she was about to leave for her school. Mandira had written, "Off to school!!" atop it. Tara was seen wearing a pink frock and had carried a pink school bag along with it. She had her hair tied in two ponytails.
