Losing someone can break you within, however, life goes on and you have to learn to smile again. Mandira Bedi’s happy life was hit by the biggest blow when her husband, Raj Kaushal had breathed his last on June 30, 2021. On the morning that took away a lot from Mandira, around 4 am, her husband, Raj had informed her of facing a heart attack. However, before she could take him to the hospital with their family friend, Ashish Chowdhary, Raj had already left everyone.
Since then, though Mandira Bedi has come out as an epitome of women empowerment, her heart still is dealing with the pain and she is missing her Raji. On July 14, 2021, Mandira Bedi had expressed her grief on her IG handle by sharing a picture, where on a piece of paper, she had written her late husband’s name, the one that she used to call him with, “Raji..” She had captioned the picture as “Miss you Raji..”, followed by a heartbroken emoticon.

It’s been 22 days since Mandira Bedi’s husband, Raj Kaushal’s death and now, the actress has shared a family picture, where we can finally see some happiness on their face. In the picture, Mandira can be seen posing with her parents and her kids, Vir Kaushal and Tara Bedi Kaushal. While the family has their smile on, Mandira’s eyes narrate the story of her pain. She captioned the picture as “Only Love. #Grateful for my #Family and all the love, support and kindness #gratitude #love #thanks.”
Two weeks after Raj’s sudden death due to a heart attack, Mandira had shared a couple of pictures with him on her IG handle. Along with the pictures, she had penned a heartbreaking note, culminating her journey with Raj. She had written, "25 years of knowing each other. 23 years of marriage.. through all the struggle.. through every crest and trough."

Six days after Raj Kaushal’s death, Mandira Bedi had decided to pay a silent tribute to her husband. Deleting her Instagram profile picture, Mandira had added a black image instead. She had also shared pictures from her 20th wedding anniversary celebrations with her late husband, which happened to be the last one they had celebrated together. In her caption, she had added a heartbroken emoticon.
A few days after Raj Kaushal’s death, Mandira Bedi was spotted for the first time, on July 11, 2021. As Mandira had gone out for a morning walk on the streets of Mumbai, she was captured by the paps. While she was wearing a black mask, the pain in her eyes was quite evident. Her mother had accompanied her for the walk.
For the unversed, Mandira Bedi had met her late husband, Raj Kaushal in 1996 as he was an assistant and she was a famous model and actress. The couple had tied the knot after dating each other for three years, in February 1999. 12 years later, Mandira and Raj had welcomed a baby boy, Vir Kaushal, making them parents for the first time. Nine years later, they had adopted a baby girl, Tara Bedi Kaushal in 2020.
