Mallika had ruled the silver screen in Bollywood and Hollywood for nearly a decade, only to explore the new world of web series. More than her work, the Murder actress has garnered humongous popularity due to her personal life. And of late, there is another member from her family who has raised the cuteness bar, giving a tough competition to Taimur Ali Khan and Inaaya Naumi Kemmu! Any guesses as to who it would be? It is Mallika’s nephew, Ransher Lamba. The actress keeps on sharing adorable moments of the duo and the latest one to be shared by Mallika was Ransher having a gala time with her maasi. The caption that went along the picture could be read as, “Sunday’s with my little nephew @ransherlamba #sundayvibes #family.”
A recent video of Mallika has emerged wherein, the actress was seen spending a chill session with Ransher. The super-adorable munchkin was seen trying hard to sing a song and play the toy piano, with her maasi showering him with love-glances and also helping him play the musical instrument. While Mallika has always claimed to be single and has even appeared on a show that dealt with her own swayamvar, many people have claimed that the 42-year-old actress was already a married lady when she came to the industry. Rumours were rife that Mallika had apparently married a pilot, Karan Singh Gill and had left him to try her luck in Bollywood. In a throwback 2009 interview, Mallika’s apparent ex-mother-in-law had busted out on the Maiyya Maiyya star.
Speaking about Mallika as her bahu, she had then shared with a popular film magazine, “She (Mallika) always had thoughts of becoming rich and famous. She married (my son) Gill because she was in love with him, but married life wasn't made for her. With both Mallika and Karan moving on in their respective lives, the latter’s mother had stated, “We don't know anybody named Mallika. A few years ago, we had a girl in our family called Reema Lamba [rumoured to be the original name of Mallika Sherawat]. She was my daughter-in-law and we all loved her very much. But her behaviour and independent nature started creating problems for us.” She also shared it was because of Mallika’s ‘different dreams’ that the marriage didn’t work out, “We wanted a girl who was independent in her thoughts but at the same time, someone who understood the needs of the family too. But her dreams were different.”
It was much later, in 2017, when Mallika dating and even ‘marrying’ somebody named, Cyrille Auxenfans started doing the rounds. It was also shared that the couple were living-in together in France and that they had also been evicted from the same due to their inability to pay the house rent! However, denying the same in an interview and speaking about her ‘live-in’ partner, Mallika had confirmed by saying, “I do not live in Paris, neither do I own an apartment there nor rent one. I do not know why my name is being dragged into this. I am in Mumbai now. Before this, I was in Los Angeles with my family. Anybody who does not believe me can check my Instagram and Twitter posts for themselves.” She had further added, “It’s a very absurd story. It is not my apartment so where does the question of rent or eviction come into play?”
For all those who have missed Mallika in the limelight, the actress will soon be seen in ALTBalaji’s web series venture with Tusshar Kapoor. Speaking about her role, she shared in an interview with Mid-Day, "I play the character of a ghost.” And further added, "My look in the show will be interesting, and I couldn't have asked for a better digital debut."
