Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair is one of the four astronauts, who has been selected for the Indian Space Research Organisation’s human spaceflight, 'Gaganyaan'. However, it was Malayalam actress, who surprised her fans with the news of her marriage with Prasanth.
On February 27th,2024, the honorable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi named Prasanth, along with two others, who are supposed to undergo the training of a test pilot for spacekraft, 'Gaganyaan'. A few hours later, Malayalam actress, Lena announced that she got married to the astronaut.

Lena took to her IG handle and announced that she got married to Prasanth on January 17, 2024. She spilled the beans of her intimate wedding along with a video and penned:
“Today , 27 February, 2024, our Prime Minister Modi ji Awarded the First Indian Astronaut Wings to Indian Air Force Fighter Pilot Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair. It is a historic moment of pride for our country, our state of Kerala, and me personally.”
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, awarding her husband for his achievement was surely a moment of great pride for her. Not only for her, it was a huge milestone and a proud moment for all the Indians.
In the same note, Lena also added that she could not reveal their marriage earlier due to confidential issues. Not just this, the stunning actress also mentioned that it was an arranged marriage. Her words can be read as:
"In order to maintain the officially required confidentiality, I was waiting for this announcement to let you know that I got married to Prasanth on 17 January, 2024 in a traditional ceremony through an arranged marriage.”

Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair was born on August 26, 1976, in Thiruvazhiyad, Kerala. He took a deep dive into the skies after joining the National Defence Academy (NDA). He joined airforce in 1999. He was even awarded the Sword of Honour while training as the best-performing cadet. Prasanth is a Sukoi fighter pilot group captain and has been trained for India’s most dreamt mission for the past few years. He is an expert category A flying instructor and test pilot.

On the other hand, Lena is a Malayalam actress and scriptwriter, who works predominantly in Malayalam and Tamil films. She has a long career span of over 25 years and has worked in more than 175 films in 5 languages like, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telegu and Malayalam. Some of her notable works are in the movies, Koottu, De Ingottu Nokkiye, Big B and Sneham. Lena came across as an author for the first time in 2023, when she published a book named, Autobiography of God. Lena was previously married to Abhilash Kumar, but they got divorced in 2013.
