Now, Mahhi's ex-husband, Jay Bhanushali, shared a promo of her entry in the controversial reality and wished her luck.

For those who do not know, Mahhi Vij's daughter, Tara, came to bid her farewell before she entered the Bigg Boss 20 house. After she entered the Salman Khan-hosted show as a contestant, Jay shared:
"The Don is in the house. All the best. Kill it Tara ki mumma.”
Mahhi Vij reveals why she said yes to Bigg Boss 20
Mahhi Vij, in an earlier interview with the SCREEN, shared that Bigg Boss has been the highest-rated show over the years. She has always loved watching it. Doing the show is like a jeevandan for me. In her words:
"I have been saying no to the show for years now. Every year there would be rumours, but this year, the time was right. This time, I don’t know what made me say yes. I don’t want to think too much and just want to go with the flow.”
The actress, sharing details about her personality, also said she is very kind-hearted but short-tempered. She stated that she is loving but can also be a friend or an enemy to anyone. She is not someone who likes to rub people the wrong way and expect the same. Mahhi shared, "I don’t know what will happen inside; maybe there will be a different Mahhi."
Mahhi had also revealed that she had told Jay about her plans to participate in Bigg Boss 20. She stated that she has always discussed her work with Jay Bhanushali. She revealed that she did speak to him about the show. Mahhi noted how Jay is an emotional person and that Tara was very small when he entered the show. In her words:
"He was missing her moments growing up, which are very precious. Now Tara has grown; she is independent. She has Jay, my parents, her uncle Manoj, and her siblings, so she will cope. She is a very strong child.”
It was in January 2026 that Mahhi and Jay announced they had separated after 14 years of marriage. The former couple revealed that they had called off their marriage on a very amicable note and would continue to co-parent their three kids. A part of their statement read:
"Today, we choose to part ways on a journey called life, yet we continue to have each other’s back. Peace, growth, kindness, and humanity have always been our guiding values. For the sake of our children, Tara, Khushi, and Rajveer we pledge to be the best parents, friends, and whatever else is necessary to do what’s right for them."
The former couple also stated that they do not blame each other for the decision to divorce. Their note further added, "Though we are walking separate paths, there are no villains in this story, and no negativity attached to our decision. Before any conclusions are drawn, please know that we choose peace over drama and sanity above all else."
Mahhi had also revealed that she had found herself at the centre of another controversy when rumours about her alleged relationship with Nadeem Nadz, CEO of Salman Khan Films, surfaced. The actress clarified that everyone had told her to stay away from the controversy.
They mentioned in the statement that they are calling their marriage off on an amicable note and will continue to co-parent their three children. After Mahhi’s entry, Jay Bhanushali, who still shares a strong bond of friendship with his ex-wife, rooted for her journey.
