Having known each other for more than a decade now, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij are exemplars of how to lead a happy married life. The handsome Gujju boy had met this cute Punjabi kudi for the first time at a card party thrown by their common friend. After a brief interaction then, Jay and Mahhi had met again a year later and that’s when they had clicked. Soon, friendship modified into dating and finally into marriage. On September 9, 2020, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij had celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary and in their own unconventional way, the couple had not only posted romantic heartfelt notes for each other on social media. But also shared ROFL anniversary posts in their own hilarious ways. Jay and Mahhi posted anniversary special dance videos on their respective social media handles and while the mister captioned his post as “10 saal saath rehne ka asar pagal ho rahe hain @mahhivij happy anniversary to us”, the missus wrote, “Ise admi ko romantic hona sikha do @ijaybhanushali anniversary mein bhi hero giri too much.” In the video posted by Jay, the lovebirds could be seen dancing with ‘Happy Anniversary’ playing in the background. Over the 10 years, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij have become parents to three wonderful kids. In 2017, Jay and Mahhi had adopted their caretaker’s children, Khushi and Rajveer and had not only decided to fund their education, but also treat them like their own child. Two years later, the family of four had a cute little addition as Mahhi had given birth to a little angel, Tara and they became a happy family of five! Jay and Mahhi feel blessed to have Khushi, Rajveer and Tara in their lives, and as clarified by them in several interviews, they don’t differentiate between their adopted and biological kids. And their social media is proof of the same! Jay and Mahhi’s social media feeds are filled with adorable moments spent with their three little bundles of joy.
In an interview with the Pinkvilla, Jay Bhanushali had spoken about his decade-long journey with wife, Mahhi Vij and how Tara has changed their bond for better. He was quoted as saying, "The journey has been beautiful. It’s been 10 years and I never expected that these 10 years will be this smooth. We had our ups and downs, happiness, but then I am happy that we completed 10 years and received our gift from God in the form of Tara, and now it is a beautiful family. I am loving every moment with them. The bond is different once baby comes into your life. Double figure it is for us!" Elaborating on the ups and downs, Jay had continued, "Of course, ups and downs make you strong. When you have a strong partner like Mahi, it helps you a lot too. There have been times when things don't go your way and you are tired of it but having a strong woman next to me makes it easier where she guides and helps me."
