Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij are the most loved celebrity couple in the telly world. After falling in love with each other, the duo had got married secretly in 2010. In 2019, Jay and Mahhi had welcomed their first child together, whom they have named Tara Bhanushali. Since then, the couple has been sharing glimpses of their happy life.
Jay and Mahhi are quite active on social media and keep updating their fans about their lives. However, the couple is facing some troubles as their cook threatened to kill them and their daughter, Tara. Mahhi, who is quite scared for her family, shared the news with her followers, which she later deleted.

On June 30, 2022, Mahhi posted a series of tweets in which she stated that their cook was stealing from them, however, when Jay had tried to settle his dues, he had started abusing the couple and had even threatened to kill them. In a series of now-deleted tweets, Mahhi, who is scared for the safety of her family, asked the police for help as he is out on bail.
In an interview with ETimes, Mahhi recounted the horrifying experience and shared what exactly happened to them. Talking about the same, Mahhi shared:
“It had just been three days and we were alerted that he’s stealing. I had waited to inform Jay. When Jay came, he wanted to settle the bill but the cook demanded to be paid for the entire month. When Jay tried to reason out, he said ‘200 bihari laake khada kar dunga’. He got drunk and started hurling abuses at us. We went to the cops. I don’t care if anything happens to me, but I was scared for my daughter.”

After Mahhi and Jay filed a complaint against the cook, he got arrested but was later released on bail. Mahhi questioned the authority’s decision to release the culprit from jail and said:
“When we went to the police station he kept calling me. I have all the recordings. Seeing whatever is happening everywhere, it is very scary. What if he stabs me? If something happens to me, people will protest later. What’s the point then? I am scared for my family’s safety. I heard he will be out on bail. What if he actually gets men after coming out of the jail and targets us?”
On the work front, Jay Bhanushali is hosting the shows, Dance India Dance Li’l Masters 5 and DID Super Moms 3.
