On February 25, 2022, Madhuri Dixit’s latest web series, The Fame Game, got released on the OTT platform, Netflix. She is playing the role of ‘Anamika’, who deals with family and professional life disbalance in the series. In an interview with the ETimes, Madhuri was asked specific details about her acting career and also how she manages it with her personal life. She was asked about her decision of taking a break in her acting career. To this, Madhuri wittily mentioned that getting married and having kids was also her dream, so she had chosen that. She said:

“It felt good. Because I chose to go away. I chose to get married. I chose to have kids. I did what I wanted to do. We all have our own dreams and having a family and all that was a big part of me. I love kids. I wanted to have kids. So that was a big part of my dream and I was living my dream. I just met the right person and I thought this is a person I want to get married to and I got married. I just have lived life on my terms."

Further in the conversation, Madhuri Dixit was asked how stardom had affected her personal life. Answering this, she explained that she takes acting as a profession, and when she goes back home after work, she is a normal person. She also mentioned her mother, Snehlata Dixit’s role in her life and how this helped her to never get affected by stardom. She revealed:

“I look at it as a profession. When I go in front of the camera, I'm a professional actress. And I know what I'm doing. I've read a script, and I'm reading it and I'm playing that character. I become that character for the camera, but once I go back home, I am a normal person, because that's the way I've been brought up. I mean, even when I was working in films, my mom used to scold me if my room was messed up and things like that. So that's how I was brought up. And that's how I am. When I go home, everything is back in the studio. I see my kids and I see my husband and it's just a different life. I never really lost myself.”

Madhuri was further asked about the drawbacks of being famous and whether her kids were aware of her stardom. To this, the doting mother and gorgeous actress explained:

“They'd better know I'm famous. (Laughs) Because they have lived here 10 years, and they do and they're old enough now. One is 16. One is 18. So they do know because their friends talk about it. And sometimes they come and say, ‘Mom, one of my friends saw your song. You're cool'. Like 'okay, thank you!' Sara says, 'Yo, she's so cool'. Sometimes I think I'm cool. Sometimes they're like, 'What were you doing?' But when I'm home, I'm just their mother.”

On January 19, 2022, Madhuri Dixit had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a frame featuring her husband and sons from one of their vacation days. In the picture, Madhuri had donned a rose pink top paired with a pink shrug, while her husband, Shriram Nene, and their sons, Arin and Ryan, had opted for comfy T-shirts as they had posed for a selfie. The actress had captioned the picture with a heartfelt note and had added a red heart emoji to it. She had written:
